I have been reading all the wonderful posts on magical things that have happened to people at WDW and thougth I would love to spread some pixie dust to others while we are there. I bought a ton of glow bracelets to share with other kids around us (i'll let my kids give them out), read someone else on the boards did that and "stole" the idea, anyone have any other good ideas to make someone else's trip a little more magical which would in turn make ours more magical. TIA

WOW!! That's soooo thoughtful! What a great idea. My DD would be floored if someone gave her a bracelet while we were in line!
I know when we were there DD wanted to ride Pooh but we were heading back to the hotel and the line was an hour long. We couldn't wait due to Grammy needed a rest. A nice lady had an extra fast pass and offered it to us. The best part is she didn't even hear the converstion we were having. She was just being nice. Maybe if a member or two of your group isn't interested in doing a ride and you find yourself with an extra FP you could share it with someone.
I also find that explaining things to a confused guest is a great way to help someone. Lots of people don't know about WDW. Share you knowledge!
I hope you have a great trip and I hope everyone around you appreciates the magic you are spreading and passes it on!

We have given away FPs we weren't going to use, given front row viewing spots to kids at parades & helped confused guests....Our favorite is offering to take family pictures for folks. It's always so appreciated when the whole group can get in the picture. I know we appreciate it!
It makes me feel even more part of the Magic....
I've noticed that anytime you give to a stranger with no thought of reward, you get back 3 fold.......

Giving away FP would be easy enough and taking pictures too! It's so much fun to give!!! Keep the ideas coming!!

We're bringing a ton of glow bracelets too :) I buy 'em in lots of 500 and we use them all the time. I've been considerng buying "bunny ear connectors also to give out on Halloween along with the sticks. (We're camping at FW.) We have some that our girls are going to bring (figure will make them easier to spot at night) and they look like mouse ears -- especially if you use purple sticks.

Ask the little kids in front of you at shows or in line if they want sprayed with your misty fan. Most adults say sure too!;)
Let a sick person from mission space use your little fan for a while.
Have your teens blow bubbles in the wind before fantasmic. They go all the way up into the stands and the little ones love it.:Pinkbounc
Talk to a little kid on the monorail while Mom and Dad are tired of ohh and ahh to the little guy.
Point out to the newbies at fantasmic that the show isn't over when Tink shows up.
Tell others how to use their hoppers in the fast pass lines.
Make sure you join in with the characters for a good laugh! Everybody around will laugh with you.

We have given fp and have taken pictures of people. This summer we are going to give out punch balls when we are walking on the boardwalk. I bring them for my kids to play with and several people will ask where we got them. You can buy a 3 pack at the $1 store, so I thought they would be fun to give out.

We also will help people that are lost or confused.

First of all I think this whole thread is really sweet...think how wonderful it would be if more people tried to be nice to strangers. :)

Offering to take a group/couples picture is a GREAT way to spread PD.My DH Joe is so very thoughtful about doing that for others. On our trip in May he had 2 different couples tell him that was their first "together" picture of their whole trip!! :earseek:

Helping confused people is a great thing to do too! :sunny:

On our trip last year someone offered to take our picture and it was really sweet and other than the pictures we purchased it was the only photo of our family together.

I put quarters in the fish food dispensers for the kids to feed the fish. I remember how our kids loved to feed the fish and I always have extra quarters.

Hey I've got a whole tube of those bracelets in the garage. What a great idea. We'll have them with us on the fourth. Hopefully at MK. See you there. :Pinkbounc

Years ago, when DD was still in a stroller, a complete stranger with kids of her own purchased an extra balloon for my daughter; she just turned around and said to her "here you go!"
I've never forgotten this and I vow to do something similar this trip.

I always offer to take pics of couples, especially young couples who may be too shy to ask for a favor.

We give up our seats on bus/monorail seats not just to seniors, pregnant moms, etc.; but anyone who looks completely frazzled or is loaded down with bags and/or fussy kids. The relief and gratefulness in their eyes says it all!

After reading another post about someone giving her dd a pin - I thought that would be a great idea. I think I might take 8-10 of our tradeable pins and give them to kids that have only a few on their laynards -- I bought the pins at one of those GREAT pin sales at the DS a couple of years ago when they were about .60 each.

Forget about the bus thing - we always double up, although it's getting harder as the kids get older. Now we usually just give up the seat to stand. Sometimes we do sit, if we are really tired.

Just a little thing but it has made a few kids smile. If you are in line for a ride that has different color cars or animals, let the kids behind or in front of you switch places with you if it helps them get the car they want.

Also compliment parents on their kids good behavior, offer any advice you have learned on the boards with anyone that looks as though they need some help. We have met families that have never heard of character meals and were thrilled when we told them how to book one.

SMILE:teeth: at everyone!!

I think it's sweet of you to give out braclets. I just wanted to put a warning out there! To anyone who wants to do this... make sure you DO NOT give out those thin multicolored jelli braclets like we wore in the 80's. My friend's kids (middle and high school age) have informed me that each color of these has a different meaning and all sexual. A girl wears the bracelts and boys try to steal them. If they do...the girl must perform that act on the boy. That is why these bracelets are found at the hot teen stores in multi quanity!! Very sick, but thought I'd warn you. My DS who is only 10 has also heard of this...even in elementary school. So just be careful... and please don't let your children wear these.

However on a brighter note... glow braclets are just plain fun!!

What we usually do is right before we are going to leave for the day or for our afternoon break we will stop at a popular ride which usually has long lines and get fast passes and hand them out as we leave the park to people who are just coming in. This puts a smile on alot of faces.

:)

We had fast passes for Buzz lightyear star command, and a lady and her daughter just got in the back of the line which was past the 40 minute wait spot and we gave them to them, they were quite happy. So, i agree with everyone else about the fast passes...and also the glow bracelet idea is awesome!

That is horrible. I hope these girls know they the do NOT have to perform the acts...

I have never heard this before, but I'll make sure that my friends with kids know. :(

I know someone else said this, but I agree: SMILE AT EVERYONE! It's free & fun.

If every one who was on the receiving end of some unexpected "pixie dust" paid it forward we would all benefit, just like that film a few years back.
We are from the UK and I have bought a few typically british bits and bobs to hand out to dIssers we are meeting up with to spread a bit of friendship across the world.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
