NEED IDEAS! ~ HALLOWEEN COSTUME for MICKEY's Not So Scary Halloween Party

We are going as the Flynn-Fletcher family from Phineas and Ferb (shocking that I have to note that, but not everyone has been caught in the awesomeness of P & F!).

I'm going as Linda, the mom. Have my pants already - just searching for a lightweight top and vest.

DS is going to be Phineas. Found the PERFECT orange and white striped tee, blue shorts, and canvas shoes.

DS begged DH to be Ferb. I found him some cotton pants I'm going to cut up and dye purple. The leg is a little wider than Ferb's, but it should allow some extra air to come in (if there is any circulating that night...). I also found a linen button down shirt - it's not a perfect match, but we'll pretend that it is!

DD already has red hair so she will be transformed into Candace. A pink tank and white skirt and we're all set!

What about a couple of characters from Scooby Doo?? Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma - easy to pull off, just plain clothes, just find ones as lightweight as possible.

LOVE THIS! Phineas & Ferb rocks! Hmm...maybe I'll have to convince my boyfriend to be Ferb to my Vanessa, or Jeremy to my Candance! haha

My boys are also going as Phineas and Ferb. I went to our local second hand store and found the exact clothes I needed for them and they are very light weight since we are going in September. I just ordered hair dye for them too. Can not wait!

Okay You said your son wants to go as Sonic the Hedge Hog!

My son has been Obsessed with Sonic since the age of 4.

Do you have a sonic Costume?
Where did you buy it?

PM Me! LOL

I don't know if this will help in any way, but I read something on a gaming website that says people who preorder the new Sonic Colours game on the Nintendo DS will get a free sonic head piece. I don't know how big it is or when this game is actually coming out but I think it could be just the thing you are looking for if he is getting the game anyway and also if its available before your trip. Good luck though.

Haven't read the whole thread, but a theme for the group is always nice. Last year, my DGD and her friends were ALL Ariel--very cute! The year before, the moms and kids were all someone from Wizard of Oz. I was the Tinman (hat only) for trick or treat.

So at MNSSHP, I would go with a Disney theme, with characters that the majority of your family likes. Have fun with it!

Hmmm. Dwarfs... they act more like TROLLS most of the time, but still..... Dwarfs just might work... There's an idea.
I'd have no problem being prince charming...:rotfl2::lmao:
The deviled egg fits my character better.:lmao: But my wife mentioned prince charming as well.

Great ideas! Keep them coming!

This thread isn't just about me! If you have any costume questions or ideas for yourself, or if your searching for just the right one, by all means bump this thread and check back often for ideas.

In 2007 my family and I dressed up, kind of. My daughter was Snow White and the remaining 8 adults dressed as the 7 dwarfs and the prince. really all we did was make t-shirts with the dwarf names on them. Everyone loved it - we received a lot of comments and compliments for our idea. Now...about Prince Chamrning. We actually did a meet & greet with Snow White and all 7 dwarfs - which was pretty cool, until Snow White looked at my husband whose shirt read "Prince Charming" and rudely stated "Prince Charming belongs to Cinderella"...seriously, technical details!!!!!! So, for the record, Snow White's princes name is "The Prince". :)

Ladies... You'll have a hard time getting your husbands off this site.

My DWs costume arrived today. She got it for $15 ($10 + $5 shipping) on ebay.
Its PEEEEEEERFECT!!!!!!!!
And yes, she looks as good in it as the model!:worship:princess:

Its not very revealing, and my wife is rather conservative in her dress attire.
So if your considering such a thing, it looks more seductive on the model with the accessories and the "pose" than it does in real life. I'm an online seller myself, and I know sometimes I'll take 50 various pictures of an item and delete the 47 that aren't as appealing. Its common practice in sales. Consider too that this company's primary money maker is Lingerie, and there ya go.

My son is now leaning more towards Cheshire Cat.
Loving the ideas! Keep them coming!

BTW Beverly? Really?!
In the words of my Homeling collective... Indeed. Beverly is Glorious.
No but seriously, when you drink it here is what you do... BEFORE you drink it, tell yourself "I'm about to drink something BITTER!". Imagine what bitter tastes like, and FORGET what all the other drinks there taste like. Then try it. You might be surprised. Its actually REALLY good. Remember too that millions love this stuff internationally. Its not some Epcot created gag flavor!!! Its a drink that millions love!!! The reason its so hated at Epcot is it's served with all the other SWEET flavors, and your taste buds are EXPECTING SWEET!!! Have you ever picked up a cup of Tea when you were honestly expecting apple juice? You probably nearly sprayed it. Same scenario. Imagine it as bitter. Expect bitter. Taste the bitter. Bitter is good!:cool1::surfweb:popcorn:::yay: Beverly is my single favorite drink at WDW. Honestly, If I could buy 2 liters of it at my local Walmart, I probably would.

Wow! I didn't realize that either!
I'm sure Shrek threw some confusion into that whole scenario as well!!!:rotfl2:

BTW, I LOVE the Sonic headpiece.

My family went several years ago in the first week of October. My mom made all of the costumes. We had Snow White, all seven dwarfs, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. Our costumes were not that heavy, but we were SO hot!!! This year we are going a few as the Mickey Mouse Club. White t-shirts with our names, Mickey Ears and skirts. I wanted something easy and light weight since I will be seven months pregnant and something everyone would be will to wear.

I'm going to be Death from Sandman when we go on our honeymoon. Black skinny jeans and a black tank top with my fiance's "groom mickey" top hat with some simple black makeup on my face done with an eyeliner pencil. (Death wears a top hat in the comic and I like to think she'd add Mickey Ears to it if she was in Disney).

My fiance is probably going to be some variety of "pirate".

What a GREAT costume idea! I agree she would add the mouse ears.

DD is going to go as a HSM cheerleader (we have the costume from her dance recital and I'm going to have EHS monogrammed on the front).

I am going to go as an updated version of a mouseketeer. I have a black skirt by Roxy that is super comfy and I'm going to grab a white t-shirt from Target and hunt down some retro velvet black iron-on letters and put a name, no necessarily my own ;), on the front and get some ears, probably a headband, and wear my flip flops :). I want to be cool and comfy!

IMHO Have to say that getting the whole family to go as mouseketeers is probably the simplest and coolest idea. I there would be quite a response from any castmembers or guests you run into.

We're going to the 9/18 party so I know it will still be really hot! I'm going to be 22 weeks pregnant so normal costumes at that point probably aren't going to work. Anyone done anything funny while they are pregnant? I'm blanking except for the normal "bun in the oven" one.

Ha! We're going again in October, so I'll have to try that. Only tried it one other time, and I was forewarned so maybe I was a little biased:-)

I saw a cute shirt that said"I swallowed a pumpkin seed"! I thought it was cute!

My sister will also be pregnant over halloween. (but not at wdw) She decided to do a red riding hood theme with her family. She plans on dressing as the big bad wolf after he swallowed grandma. HTH
