Need ideas for DIS meet times & places

I am wanting to suggest several Dismeets for a 4-day Wonder cruise. I cruised once before on Carnival and missed the embarkation day meet and had no way to find out what else they decided to do. Of course, everytime I saw a fun group of people, I assumed it was my group!

I was thinking of setting a time and place for each day so maybe everyone would have a chance to meet someone from the boards. I read that 3:00 was a good time on embarkation day. I don't know where to suggest...Also, would it be good to have it at 3:00 everyday just to keep it simple? Same time, same place? Inside? Outside?

I want feedback from you experienced cruisers...

3 pm has worked very well for us on our last two cruises. We meet up on deck 10 mid-ship on the same side as the port. This is above the Goofy pool. At 3pm it isn't too crowded yet so you can all meet and hear each other. You get to meet for a good 30-45 minutes before you need to head for the drill. Then after the drill meet up at the same spot and you are in a great spot for the sailaway party (though some may opt to go down on the dance floor).


The other thing we've always done for our cruises is make buttons for everyone with their screen name and real name. Most would wear their buttons for the cruise so it was always easy to spot other DIS'ers.

Also on our last cruise one of the DIS members took orders for matching t-shirts that also had our screen names and real names on them. It made for great fun in the terminal and everyone got to know each other even earlier but still met at 3pm.

It sounds like you have done it up right with the pins and T's! I'm going to suggest 3:00 on deck 10 mid ship for our first meet.
