I looked at Travelocity and Expedia just to get an idea of price range and there are some really cheap one - $120 - $160/ night. We might be able to get by with a one bedroom if my DS19 and his girlfriend don't come with us. I really would like to find someplace that has a kitchen to save on food cost. We've stayed at Sheraton Vistana before and it was ok.

It's been a while since our last trip to WDW so I need some good advice!

We've been staying at Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista for our "before Disney" stay...and here's why...
2 Bedroom suites, full kitchen, free internet, free breakfast (hot and cold) for about $110 per night (we travel in September). Also, and this is important to us, late check-out available though you may have to join their "club", free to join. Finally, literally within walking distance of liquor, grocery and restaurants. About 1/2 mile from the DTD entrance. Basic but very descent accomodations.
For our 1 bedroom suite this September, $90 per night AAA. :3dglasses

If you look there are some really really nice 2 bedroom condos out there for 600.00 a week including taxes an cleaning.

If you check www.alpharooms.com they have some good deals on condo's for under one hundred dollars a night or just above. The prices include tax.

I just put in a week in october for my search and came up with

Like Tiki Resort for $489, not sure about this place though?

Orange lake Resort 2 bedroom for $706

Point Orlando Resort was under $783

Vista Cay for $661 2 bedroom

The Fountains Resort for $744 2 bedroom

Parkway International 2 bedroom $444

Orbit One Resort 2 bedroom $492

Tuscana Resort 2bdrm $509

Blue Heron Beach Resort 2 bdrm $640

Cane Island, I think this one is new? 2bdrm $427 3bdrm $465

I just saw a 3 BR at Star Island, about 4 miles from WDW and comparable to Vistana going for about $125 per night.

Give 1800hotels.com a try. They have some great offers on 4-Star hotels with special 50% discounts applied!

4-Star Radisson Orlando Celebration Hotel from $68 - 50% Special Discount Applied

We have a pre-night Disney and this may save me renting two rooms. How comfortable are the beds and is it clean? Looks like it has good reviews.

There's a king with a bathroom in one bedroom, 2 doubles (or queens) with a bathroom in the other bedroom and the couch in the den pulls out. The beds are certainly comfortable, and the complex, while somewhat dated, is clean. The nice part about the pre-disney portion is the late check-out. We often drive over to Disney in the morning to register at the Villa then return to Staybridge for breakfast and some sun while we wait for telephone confirmation that our room is ready. Late check-out does depend on availability and again, signing up for the "Priority Club" (free).

Depending upon the time of year you are going, there are a lot of great deals for 2 bedroom condos out there. We are going during a holiday (Thanksgiving), and found a condo for $400.00 total for a week at Royal Palm Bay. Villa Del Sol and Windsor Palms had similar deals. For a little more (about $500.00), we found condos at Windsor Hills and Bahama Bay. Try www.VRBO.com and www.homeaway.com.

Floridays is very nice and very close. I have stayed there 3 times and it was really nice all 3. The pool is good too. Depending on the season you should be able to get it pretty cheap.

Thanks everyone for Oct we found a DEAL not the condo we wanted but a hotel that we stayed in for 3 nights in June so we know what we getting it's 200.00 for 5 nights or was that 7 DH has changed his mind so many times I can't remember. Then we go to Daytona for 5 nights then back over to the cheap hotel for another 3 nights before heading home. I'm not a huge fan of hotel rooms but for 200.00 I'll put up with it.

Plus I get a trip in Jan if I desire not decided yet might depend on the free birthday again next year....75.00 of disney merchandise is nice. We going in DEC already got our condo for that one. Plus going again in May will let the AP's laspe till Oct an go back again in oct.

Hmmm I checked Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista for our June dates - next year and it's over $200 for a 2 bedroom suite. Looks really nice though. I'm still looking through all of the great suggestions.

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Keep an eye on AAA rates and the "Orlando Magic Card" has Staybridge discount rates too!
