My son (10) and just me are leaving for a special trip on Wednesday and staying @ the GF--would like to surprise him with something special in our room--any suggestions and who do I call --Thanks in advance:bounce: :bounce:

You can contact the disney florist and order one of the cute baskets. There is anice one with a plush mickey, photo album and camera. There is one with snacks that comes in an insulated pack that you can take along to the parks.

Do they happen to have a site where you can see the items you are getting?
Thanks!

There is also Cookies by Design where you can order a cookie bouquet where the cookies are characters. I ordered one for our room last June and it looked great. The cookies were pretty good, too, although they were so huge it was hard to finish one.

You can contact them by phone and they will fax you pics of the items you can order. I have to get their number for you. Can't find it now.

Here is the number for them 1-877-608-0066. They are pretty helpful. Give them a call.

Have you looked into Gifts of a Lifetime? (I think that is the name of it) They will deliver anything Disney to your room. they even have the Disney name badges for your son to wear. Check out their website, they have a lot of neat ideas....I think you will find a link to it on Deb's site. (or try a search) Good Luck!

I wanted to do this too and it was quite expensive and I thought darn - I would love to do this but I want to have as much money to spend on treats for DS during our trip as possible.
ANYWAY this is what I did...
I got a cool Mickey and Pluto gift bag (large size) from Hallmark (they also have Disney ones at Wal Mart too) and filled it with some small toys from the Disney Store and Wal Mart, a coloring book and crayons, a hat from DS, and a few treats. It was really cool if I do say so myself. I mailed it to the resort and the box was waiting for us when we checked in. DS opened it up and what a fun way to start the trip. It was also a great because it had stuff for him to play with when we were hanging out in our room and we used the bag to keep his treats we bought at the park too.
I spent about $20.00 on the whole thing including shipping and I know I got a better deal than if I ordered something and paid someone else to do it. I plan to make this a tradition and I have started a box where I am keeping things I get on sale at DS and store them for our next "surprise box" on our next trip.

Both Pixie Gifts and Gifts of a Lifetime have websites. I used Pixie's on my July trip to the GF and they were wonderful. They asked lots of questions about my childrens interests and came up with some great ideas. The gifts were packaged nicely and delivered to the hotel on the day of our arrival. My youngest DD couldn't figure out why Christmas had come to the GF in the middle of July. Gifts of a Lifetime has pictures of their most popular items to give you some ideas also.
