Need ideas for 40th birthday gift!

My best friend is going to be 40 next Tuesday and I need gift ideas. We live thousands of miles apart and whatever I get will have to be shipped out ASAP! I'm thinking about getting her a restaurant gift card - I know they are struggling financially and don't get to go out much. I looked at FTD.com and was going to buy her some nice flowers - but I think a $50 gift cert. would be more appreciated.

But this is her 40th...mine is next summer so I can't be too mean!

Any thoughts!?

my sister got so many "mean" gifts on her 40th........she says the best thing she got was a $40 gift certificate.

A gift card for dinner is a nice idea.

You could make up a small gift basket and include things she likes.

How about a GC to a local Spa...you can usually order them on line. I know at 40 we can all use a little help looking and feeling pampered!
