Hi DISers -
I need some hotel recommendations for our May 2009 trip. We will be in Orlando for 2 weeks (spending week 2 at Animal Kingdom Lodge). Besides Disney properties, I am looking for suggestions for places in the Sea World to Universal area for at least 3 night if not 6 for the first week. We will be spending a day each at IOA,US,and SW. It is myself, DH and DD 5yo. Looking for a place that is kid freindly, nice pool area (or great pool area) - musts. Would like also the following - breakfast included, no parking fee and a suite set up. Hoping to find something in the $100-120 price range per nt. Thanks.

I was going to suggest giving an on site Universal hotel a shot. Beautiful and FOTL privileges are da bomb...but I guess none of them really fit into your specifications. (Free breakfast, free parking, $ price range) Otherwise I highly recommend them. RPR is the cheapest but still beautiful and on par with Disney deluxes.

I am about to write a trip report but have yet to download the pics. We stayed at the Marriott Horizons. It is a type of timeshare, but you can also rent per night. I looked up on some rental by owner sites and you can get a good deal. My kids and I LOVED this place. It had soo much more than we expected. We are DVC'rs at Boardwalk and my kids want to stay at Horizons instead next year. My other recommendation is if you are planning on multiple days at IOA and US then consider staying onsite. Look for deals throughout the year, we usually pay $130.00 per night at Royal Pacific. The main reason is you may be paying a bit more per night, BUT when you stay on site. Every person gets an express pass and its good even the day you check out. Well thats my two cents.

We will be staying at the Horizons for the first time in Sept...looking forward to the trip report...where will it be posted? THANKS.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn (right next to Sea World) for two nights before moving over to WDW. We really liked it for the price. I would look into that one too.

Just got back from a long weekend trip will upload pics and post tonight.
