A group of us have to work in Baltimore next Monday thru Thursday. We would normally just drive every day since we are only about 1 1/2 hours away but with traffic being unpredictable in the am my company is paying for hotel rooms. On Monday and Tuesday we have to be at the East Point Mall by 7:45am and on Wednesday and Thursday we have to be at the Security Square Mall by 7:45am. We are looking for a hotel located somewhere between the malls. Our company doesn't like to spend more than $100/per night. I am not sure what area we should be looking for to make our morning commute around 30 minutes.

If you can priceline a hotel in the Inner Harbor for that amount of money it would be a good choice. I am not sure whether that can be done or not. Also, parking can sometimes be expensive downtown.

Another option, with more driving is a hotel at Arundel Mills Mall area. Lots of food options and several hotels. It's located on 100 and 295 (sort of). Google will help you out. I am not sure how long the commute will take to East Point though.

Another option that would be slightly closer than Arundel Mills is a hotel by BWI airport. I don't know about food options there though. It's kind of a boring area.

I use Hotwire for the Inner Harbor area. I always book a 3 1/2 or 4 stars. We have done this several times and have had great hotels each time and the price can't be beat.

I'm not sure how close it is, but we actually really like the Days Inn Inner Harbour down there - we have stayed about 3 times, and will be there again in August to see the Yanks beat (I mean play) Baltimore. Has a pool, a restaurant, and is within walking distance of the harbor. There is a mall pretty close too, but I don't know if its the one you are talking about. Also, there is a parking garage attached to the hotel - its not included, you still have to pay, but its not bad, and very convient.

The Hilton Garden Inn at Inner Harbor is very nice and not nearly as expensive as some of the other hotels in downtown Baltimore.

Just stayed at the Fairfield Inn in the Inner Harbor last weekend and it was very nice.

30 minutes wont even get you close that time of morning.

I know I'm asking for the impossible but hoping to find something close to one of the malls. I know I need to be in the northern suburbs of Baltimore. I'm just not sure which areas are good. I'm thinking being closer to Security Blvd would be best as we will be putting in 10 - 12 1/2 hour days. I have looked at Woodlawn and Pikesville but the hotel reviews are not good.

This week we were at Harford Mall and Hunt Valley. I commuted each day since I could make it within an hour. My coworkers and trainers stayed at the Candlewood Suites off of Rt1. Our trainers were from the Midwest and had no clue about the traffic. We tried to warn them. They thought they could make it to Hunt Valley in 30 mins...lol. It took them and hour the first day and an hour and a half yesterday.
