Need help with what to do in San Diego

We are flying into SD next week. My dad lives there, but he just moved there so doesn't know what is available to do. We only know about Legoland, Zoo, and Sea World.

What else is fun to do for a family? There are 3 kids 5, 7 and 13, and 6 adults.

Birch Aquarium, Balboa Park museums, boat tours of the bay, Children's Pool in La Jolla to see the seals, Safari Park in Escondido, baseball game downtown if there are any during your dates, Old Town for some yummy Mexican food and shopping, and the tide pools at Cabrillo

I know it might be too late but for next trip our DD loved the midway museum-aircraft carrier in the bay! Very cool even for adults! Don't forget the beach!

We did the zoo and the safari park and both were full day excursions. We also loved Sea World.
