Hello!

I was hoping you could brainstorm with me. We are staying off the WDW resort (we like to rent a house to have our own private pool) and hope to spend 1-2 days at USF. Unfortunately if we do 2 days it cuts into our downtime between parks rule that I try to force. In past trips we've either done one or the other, as our focus is Disney.

Having said that- we haven't been since the Wizarding World opened. I was bummed to discover that it's split between the two parks (clever, from a money making perspective! I can't fault them). This leaves us with either only getting to see one side (likely the IoA side, because my son is crazy for marvel and that would be a big deal to him), attempting to hop both parks in one day with a 4 and 6yo or do 2 days and take away down time/pool time (which I am hesitant to do... DH and I both have demanding jobs so we need a bit of rest time!).

For those of you who have been there, what would you advise?

Our last hope is that my parents (who are joining us) would take the kids for a solo day and DH and I do USF park kids-free. This would be my preference, both in quality alone time being kids and saving the kids from burn-out. My parents live in a different country so they are always afraid to be alone with the kids (their only grandkids)... for whatever reason. My Mom gets stressed out of either of the kids cries and I know the second anything went south she would be calling us back home. So this is definitely my last resort.

Given what you've written, I'd say do two days. (What dates is the trip planned?)

You can take your time in each park and likely leave mid-afternoon to spend time at your rental house and pool to relax. You'll get to see both parks and still have relaxation time.

We are there mid-end of September. Hopefully the crowds will not be too insane.
