Need help with Thanksgiving dinner

We'll be staying in Carlsbad on Thanksgiving. We have a car and wouldn't mind driving into San Diego either. Someone online recommended either eating at Claimjumper in Carlsbad or getting the turkey-day dinner as takeout. Has anyone tried this? Any other recommendations? Thanks for your help!

I love claimjumper! I've never had the thanksgiving dinner there but everything I've ordered has always been great so I'm assuming the turkey dinner must be good too.

I don't know enough restaurants around there to really help much but a few years ago we were in SD for our anniversary and ended up eating at a restaurant in Balboa Park called the Prado. We really enjoyed our meal there. I have no idea what they do for Thanksgiving but it might be a place to look into. Oh and I bet the Hotel Del Coronado must do something. It might be pricey though but that would be fun to have thanksgiving dinner there.
