need help with resale

I'm in the process of buying a resale and I'm trying to figure out who I should call to verify the availablity of points on the property. If anyone here knows could you let me know. Also, if the use year is June and there are 150 points available on the property for 2002, when do they need to be banked by for 100% use in 2003? I should be closing in mid-November and I'm a little worried about losing the use of these points. I can't wait to plan my first trip home!!!!

As for banking 100% of the points - if the use yr is June you have until november 30th to bank all of them - As for the availibilty of the points - I would 1st call the person(s) from whom you are purchasing from and find out how long after the closing it will take before Disney has you in their system. But if Nov 30th approaches and you have closed but Disney still doesn't have you in the system I would call Members services at 1-800-800-9800 and explain that you closed in mid Nov and need to bank 100% of these points into the next use year - I don't know what they can or will do but it never hurts to ask.

Keep in mind that this year you have until Friday, Nov 29 th.

Nov 30th is a Saturday and MS will be closed that day.

Also, you can just ask the current owners to go ahead and bank the points now. Do this before the contract goes to Disney. You should be able to work with the broker and the selling party to accomplish this, depending where you are in the purchasing process.

Thanks. I got in touch with the real estate agent and she said she was sure that the seller would bank the points for me. I feel less pressure now, to close in time.
