DS may be doing the Pirate Cruise from the GF...I know the poly is close....if we want to have Bloody Mary's and Breakfast at Kona Cafe, is it better/possible to wald from the GF, or should we take the boat?? Thanks!

If you ask the right way at the GF concierge, they might offer a private golf cart ride over to the poly.

I'd probably just walk it. When we stayed at the Poly we walked over to GF for our breakfast at 1900PF and it didn't take long at all.

The fastest way from GF to the Poly would be to walk or to ride the boat, because the next stop is the Poly. Then, obviously, on the way back ride the monorail.

I would probably take the boat. It comes fairly frequently and the ride is 10 minutes max.:goodvibes

The Poly is so close -- there is a path right along the "beach" from the GF to the Poly. I would walk from the GF. Then after my breakfast (and Bloody Mary), ride the monorail one stop back to the GF to pick up your son. Or walk off that Tonga Toast and walk back the way you came! :thumbsup2

Definately just walk between the two, quick and easy!

Yes. Just walk.

The two resorts are side by side (well, almost) And it's a quick and lovely walk down a path that winds around the beach...

Definitely walk - it's only 5-10 minutes depending upon your pace and if you take the monorail it will take 20 minutes to do the loop from GF - MK - Contemporary - TTC - Poly

Just got back and we rode the boat, walked it, and rode the monorail. The boat was by far quicker!

If the launch is arriving or boarding, that will be fastest.

The walk is short and very pleasant. Shouldn't be more than 10 minutes. I think I timed the walk from the GCH to the Spa at 7 minutes.

The monorail is the slowest option. Returning it will usually be the fastest if you time it right.

Great fun no matter which option you choose.:cool1:

I would use the walkway because taking the Resort Monorail will mean having to stop at the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary and the Transportation & Ticket Center before arriving at the Polynesian.

Approximations
1. Walking would take about 10-15 minutes, 20 maximum depending on the speed you walk
2. Monorail would take 20 minutes, 30 maximum (5-10 minutes per stop depending on the volume of guests)
3. Boat would take 10 minutes if its directly heading to the Poly, 25-30 minutes if heading to the MK first

Keep in mind these approximations depend on the volume of guests! The best bet would be taking the walkway.

Walkway is also our choice - love the scenery and the exercise!

The launches never go to the MK first. The route has always been MK>GF>Polynesian since the GF opened way back in the 80s at least to the best of my old memory. :goodvibes If a boat is at the GF dock, it is a quick ride to the Polynesian. Of course, from there you must still stroll to the GCH.

Completely agree about the scenery and exercise.:thumbsup2

Oh ok! I was thinking of the Wilderness Lodge and how it switches. Thanks for updating that!

Thanks guys, I appreciate your suggestions!! I can never keep straight the monorail order of stops!!! I think we'll save the monorail for the post bloody mary return trip!!!
