Need Help with PBH Club Rooms and Locations

HI, I'm planning our first trip to universal. We are thinking of staying in PBH, probably a regular 2 Queen room in club level. Just wanted some hints on what to put in as a request if they had something available. I know nothing is guaranteed. I've read through the room assignment thread, trying to figure out where everything is. Am i understanding these correctly?

1) I'd like to be able to not have to go outside to reach the club lounge. Am I reading right, that it seems you have to request at least floor 3 or above that? What floor is the lounge?
2) West Wing it seems would be closer to Beach pool and boat dock, but Villa would be closer to lounge and lobby?
3) Any areas loud in the evening?
4) Any other pointers of things I want to avoid ? There will be 5 of us (3 children 6-11). I"m torn if I'm better off closer to the lounge or the pool and dock. Any opinions?

I was also lost when trying to plan requests. What I did was request assistance from the concierge staff - Heather was absolutely fantastic and she said loves helping guests plan their vacation.

If you book a club level room, you will be in the same building as the lounge. If you add club at check-in and did not book a deluxe room, you will be in either the east or west wing. I prefer the west wing as it is closer to the boat launch and beach pool. I thought it would be inconvenient having to walk to the lounge but when our villa suite upgrade was in the west wing and we added club services the first time, we never found it inconvenient. Also, we have never experienced people in their robes or kids in their PJs in the club lounge like we did at HRH, RPH and WDW conciege lounges. I don't know why it bothered me but I guess we all have our little issues!

As to noise? I never really noticed a problem anywhere. PBH is a very quiet, tranquil resort as opposed to HRH and RPH where there is much more action. Still. my kids prefer PBH.

We stayed villa wing room 2566 in Aug. It was a 5 minute or so walk to the lounge - no big deal and was very close to both the villa pool and the beach pool. Two or three doors from the elevator and once off the lift make a left to go to the villa pool and a right to go to the beach pool. I thought being close to the pools was more important then being close to the lounge. I have 3 children - 16, 14, 7. We would hit the lounge on our way out to the parks and on the way back - loved the refreshing stop on the way back. The Beach Pool is so much fun - best pool by far for us and we've stayed at a lot of the deluxes in WDW and all at USO. What made it so superior in our eyes was the staff. We felt taken care of. The lifeguards were wonderful, especially Dina. They organized games for the kids throughout the day - it was a blast.

Just make sure to get a resort map, and go outside and walk around when you get there. We discovered, our third day in, a great shortcut to the boat dock that would have save us a lot of walking had we known about it from day one.

What I liked about the resort is that it truly makes you feel like you are in an Italian village - complete with narrow passages among the buildings. It's not hard to get around, but learn where the shortcuts are - it will save you time!
