Need help with Math HW...deals w/ Matrices

Can anyone help me with any of these problems. You have to eplain on how to do them cause i have no idea on how to do it.


1. Find the value of X so that the area foa triangle whose vertices have coordinates (6,5), (8,2), and (X,11) is 30.


2. Solve for the variables..

[2x 3y] [-12 36]
=
[40 50] [8z 2.5w]

There is actually 3 of these problems but if i know how to do one i usually can do the others.

Opps... the = sign in the second problem is suppose to be in the the middle between the first and second matrices.
