Greetings! DH and I are planning a very last minute trip to Disneyworld for next weekend (August 25-27). I know it may be difficult to reserve certain restaurants at this point, and since our trip is fast approaching, we have little time to research the different restuarants (unfortunately). I'm hoping that I can cheat and rely on the experts on this board to provide me with some dining suggestions so that I can quickly inquire about ADRs. :) So far, I've made ADRs for these places:

Grand Floridian Tea (lunch on August 25-one of my favorites)
Alfredo di Roma (dinner on August 26-this is DH's favorite. he loves the alfredo)

I have two questions:

1. Can anyone recommend restaurants that we should try in the parks for lunch?
2. I have my fingers crossed for Jiko and/or Artist Point for dinner (IF we can get the ADRs) Can we eat at a restaurant without an ADR if we are willing to wait, or will they turn us away?

Thank you a million times over for the last minute help. :flower3:

I hope this helps :

Places to eat lunch in the parks: These are all counter service
AK-Flame Tree BBQ
MK- Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill's Cafe
EC- Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips in the UK
MGM- really don't like any of these, but try Backlot or Rosie's they have lots of choices.

As for the ADR's, since you are going during free dining, I would recommend trying to get ADR's, there is very limited availability at most popular restaurants, but you can still try to walk up when you get there, some of those restaurants are completely sold out and some will tell you that there is no availability at all, your best bet would be to call Disney Dining, and if they have nothing you want, check with guest services when you arrive at WDW.

I wouldn't wait any longer ...call disney dining asap...tell them where you'll be on what day and see what's left. You are gonna have very few choices I think.

Miniefan-thank you for the recommendations! I have never been that great at selecting lunch places to eat in Disneyworld, and it seems like we end up eating cheeseburgers everyday. BBQ and Fish and Chips would be a very pleasant alternative, so I think we'll try these out for sure. :)

supersuperwendy-Thanks for the suggestion. I agree - we are going to be pretty limited. We just decided to go on a whim yesterday for DH's birthday, and I made our room reservation today at the Boardwalk Inn (happily, I was able to get a special rate with a PIN offer I didn't even know I had-I guess the trip was meant to be afterall) ;) I was really surprised that I was able to get ADRs for the GF tea and Alfredo's so late. I got lucky. Tomorrow, I am going to try for a dinner ADR at Jiko (first choice), Artist Point (second), Flying Fish (third), or Fultons (fourth). Hopefully, I'll get lucky and be able to get one of these ADRs for Sunday night. (fingers crossed)

Does anyone recommend CRT for dinner? I've read some not so great reviews about the food, but DH nor I have ever eaten at CRT, and I'm wondering if it would be worth it for the experience? No children will be with us-just us two big kids.
