Need help with hanging baskets in kitchen

Hi.. this may seem silly, but I need help! I have a beam in my kitchen that I'd like to hang baskets from. I have a very country kitchen, and thought the baskets would be a cute idea. Not sure though how to hang them? I have about 5 to hang - do they go right side up affixed at the top, or on their side, or upside down? I have no idea, and not sure if there even is a right way. Just hoping some other DISer could help!

I have some hanging from a pot rack over my island. I hung them from the handles. Some are straight and some hang at an angle. You could screw some small cup hooks into the wood beam to hang them.

The bad news: dust bunnies
