Thanks in advance for any info that may help me in my vacation planning. I am a disney club member and made a reservation for two people at the POR 10/26-11/02 on Monday. They offered to include airfare but i passed for the moment. My total with the extra $50 off came to $1230 or something around there. Now im checking delta's site and non stop r/t from hartford is $254. Okay here is the part i need help with. I just priced the package on expedia and for the same days at the CSR with the same flights i was checking came to $1681, when i checked disney's site the same package came to $1941 w/o the insurance. Why so much difference? Will Disney match the price? The airfare ends up coming out to be like $200 each?? Help Please..getting alittle stressed here =)

Hi Yankees, and welcome to the DIS!

The airfare included in Disney packages is "bulk air" and the pricing is not the same as what you would get directly from the airline...those prices include "retail air", which is the price you would pay by booking with the airline directly and it is generally less expensive. The advantage to the airfare with Disney packages is you can cancel it any time up until final payment is due without penalty; of course that is not true with airfare directly from the airlines...that is non-refundable.

Honestly, I would book the package SEPARATELY from the airfare and try for the best air independently. It's still early for airfare deals for October/November and pricing may come down even more. Just book the package alone now to get the savings included with it.

Good luck deciding! :)

First I'd like to welcome you to the DIS boards!:p I know that Expedia sometimes offers discounts or promotional rates that you can't get through the Disney site, but have you compared the two airfares offered? Are they the same flight, or are there differences in lay overs, or terrible flight times etc. That could make the difference in price. ~:D~
