Doing a date night and can't decide which of these to choose from...getting babysitter so that factors in to the hours, etc. Staying at Poly. Which to pick:

Takumi Tei
California Grill
Wine Bar George
Mons Paul
Topolino's Terrace
Le Cellier

DH and I are going to MP for the firs time soon. Looking forward to it.

We have also enjoyed CG and WBG.

For our date nights, we have had wonderful times at Jiko if not in a park. If combining wandering around a park after a romantic meal without kiddos, then MP for Epcot, or California Grill for MK, or Tiffins for AK. Or Toppolinos for HS or Epcot.

To me, Le Cellier feels crowded and rushed, and not very datelike. We ate at Toppolinos during Covid protocols, and it also didn’t feel as date night like as I expected. Wine Bar George is terrific, but on my date nights I want to wander around AKL, or my favorite park at night. With no kids.

That is a great list. Maybe have you thought about travel time/method? If you have the logistics of getting there figured out I say Mons Paul. But, whenever we do date night we feel we are on a countdown clock as soon as we shut the door. 😕🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Topolino’s would be easier to get to via Uber. That would be my second for a romantic spot.

Takumi Tei and Mon Paul will be longer experiences if time is an issue with the babysitter. Also both of those require park entrance if that’s an issue. I agree with Jiko beautiful restaurant and food and a nice walk around seeing animals after. Topolinos is a fantastic suggestion as well you can sit on the terrace after your meal and enjoy a drink. Don’t discount Narcossee or Citricos at Grand Floridan. A drink at Enchanted Rose prior to dinner a beautiful lounge and terrace and can go stand on the beach after and watch fireworks!
Of course these are just my opinions!

CA Grill should have the shortest travel time. More time at restaurant if yout baby sitter hours are limited or expensive. A very short ride share or taxi back if kids are having a melt down

Or Monorail (which is free lol)

Sorry, but it's never taken us in 30+ years one hour to get from Contemporary to Poly on the Resort line.

Your point? I never suggested the monorail would take an hour.

I wondered if baby sitters rounded up time.
Does 3.5 hours round up to 4? Could a 10 minute time savings save an hour?

thanks everyone! all awesome suggestions. Especially the clock! may have to do something closer so we do not feel rushed. thanks all!

I love Wine Bar George, great atmosphere. The owner tends to work tables and may come around and say hi.
Topolino's Terrace and Le Cellier, the wife says never again. Overrated, food was ok.

I never been to the others, so I can’t comment on those.

I would do Cali Grill for sure! It has good food and a magical atmosphere. Date night to me also means not worrying about the kids, and CG is much closer to the Poly than any of the other restaurants you have listed, so you could feel more relaxed. I would be stressed all night if something went wrong and I was stuck far away. Enjoy you night, wherever you end up!

View at night up on top of CG is pretty magical all on it's own... without fireworks. If you can time your dinner to include those, well it's something to experience. Menu has changed to a prefix and it's not what is was , but it's still really good food... but the view, that takes it to another level.

Just to add, depending on the babysitter hours, the most fun date night my hubby and I had when the now adult kids were littles, was a hot dog at Casey’s and doing MK without them. It was awesome.
