I had standard view and just upgraded to pool/lake view, what building is good to request? Any good tips on rooms? Any info is appreciated, thanks.

They're all good but it depends on what your needs are. I personally like the cabanas section the best. Especially for a waterview room

Thanks for the fast reply, I tried to check out your websight but it says its down/not available.

Does anyone have a suggestion for wherein the cabanas to ask for a room?

If I remember correctly, most people want the Cabanas 9B.

My favorite is the Casitas, I really like the "urban" feel to that side of the resort. :)

Enjoy your stay!

When we were there last month we had requested Cabanas 8A since it was closer to the Dig Site. We got Cabanas 9B which was really nice as well. We were closer to the main bus stop for the Character Caravan and the restaurants. The Dig Site ended up being just across the bridge.
We also paid for water view hoping that would get us nearer to the pool but at first they had us on the front side of 9B which I thought faced parking so I asked to be changed to the 'inside' with a view of the Dig Site in the distance. As it turns out those rooms on the front side are on a small lake and it is very quiet over there. We probably would have enjoyed it just as much except we were a little more convenient to the pool in our room which was #9506 ground floor.
Hope that helps!

Hi! I'm new to the board ~ though NOT to Disney ~ and am going in less than 6 weeks! I've got a good excuse...my sister works at the WoD, so I'm there to visit her as much as Mickey!!

Anyway, I'm staying at CS and will be alone except the last night when she'll stay since she's my ride to the airport once she gets off work (transfer stuff etc. before she leaves for work). In looking at some other sites, I've seen some suggestions that certain areas are more isolated than others at CS. What has been your experience with CS ~ are there areas you would not want to be if staying alone? Is there a particular area I should request over another? I've already got a non-smoking due to allergies request, so I realize that may limit where I can be, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

~Beth

The Casitas and Cabanas have the best water views. I found the ranchos be be a little more secluded from Lago Dorado (the lake)

If I was staying alone I would prefer to be in the Casitas. Those building are larger and tend to host conventioners. The Casitas are on the El Centro side of the lake. There were more people around that area due to El Centro and the health club at the other end.

Check out my site below for pics. (I'm just editing some video so it should be up soon)

tracey your sight is great! Do you have any pictures of the inside of the rooms too?

Thanks :) Room pics are in the Casitas Gallery section - near the bottom. I need to remove them and give them their own gallery.

Buzz2001 also has a terrific site. Check his signature for the link.

I agree Tracey, your site is wonderful!! I just saved it in my favorites to look at again.;)

We switched our ressies over to CSR when the CBR announced its closing. I was unsure at first if I made the right decision, but the more I see regarding this resort, the more excited I get !:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for sharing.
