We somehow lucked out and got an Interval trade into a 2-bedroom at BWV. When you trade in, I am not sure how that equates to whether you get a standard or preferred view. Does anyone know for sure? I figure I will call with a request once I figure out what I want.

We have 2 sons (will be ages 5 and 2) and will also be traveling with my parents so I'm not sure what to request.

I have read there is only one set of elevators but the map I saw didn't show where they were. I also am not sure where the bus stop would be.

I think it would be neat to overlook the Boardwalk. I'd like not to be too high up in case we need to do the stairs but also not too low if I can't see the fireworks or if there is a lot of Boardwalk noise.

Anyone have some suggestions for what I should request? I defintely want non-smoking for sure.

Thanks in advance!

There are three "categories" of views at BWV - Guaranteed Boardwalk View, Preferred - Pool/Garden View and Standard View.

Don't know which you will receive, but it is most likley the Preferred - Pool/Garden View. This category contains the largest number of rooms. Members tend to book the other two categories up early in the reservation window, so it is unlikely that one of those two views was deposited into the II system.

The elevators are just off the lobby, which is actually on the second floor of the resort. The bus stop is between the self-parking lot and the main hotel entrance, on the Boardwalk Inn side of the entrance driveway.

If you want to be close to the elevators (good idea if you are traveling with strollers, wheelchairs, ECVs or anyone who may tire easily), you should request that. Be sure to place your requests in the order of importance to you. Most people put their smoking/non-smoking request first on the list.

If you want to see fireworks from your balcony, request a view of the Village Green area. There are not a lot of rooms in this area, but they are the only ones in the Preferred - Pool/Garden category that have a fireworks view. All of the Guaranteed BW View rooms have a view of the fireworks and some of the Standard Views do, too. However, the Standard View rooms with fireworks views are quite a distance from the elevators (the ones close to the elvators have the view blocked by the BWI wing of the resort) and you would also need to be on a higher floor to get a good view. Again, it is most likely that you have a Preferred - Pool/Garden View.

I'm sure you will enjoy your stay no matter which room you get. Congratulations on getting the trade. That's not easy to do!

Best wishes -
