Hi everybody!

I'll be going to WDW in late August to celebrate DH's birthday and our anniversary as well.

For our anniversary, I've already thought of a dinner at Boma.

But I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with a good birthday surprise for my DH! Most of the gifts at DisneyFlorists is too pricey. All the other "experiences" ie.tours, spas, cruises, are also way out of my price range.

I want something I can surprise him in our room with. I've thought of ordering a small 6 inch cake, but it seems like too much to share for just two people and we'll be in POP, so no fridge to keep the leftovers in.

Any ideas?

Could you bring something you bought at home, maybe sale item at a Disney store or the on-line Disney store? Or go to main street bakery and buy him his favorite treat and sneak it back to your room or from the food court at pop, maybe a big cupcake

Oh, that sounds like a good idea! A cupcake would be good.

I've already bought him a Hidden Mickey's guidebook as a surprise for him.

I read on another thread that we could buy a bottle of wine from Epcot. Does anybody have any recommendations? And how much would they cost?

We will be at Disney at the same time, but we will be at ASMu. Best wishes on the birthday surprise.

Last year for our anniversary, I ordered a personalized mickey golf watch from the online store for DH. I had it sent to the hotel and it wasthere waiting for us when we checked in. It was a great surprise and he loved it. There are tons of different items to personalize.
Good luck and have fun.

Italy. Banfi Brachetto Rosa Regale. Last time I checked, it was $24.99. Sparkling wine. Get some good-quality dark chocolate (also in Italy) to go with it.

Or a South African wine from the store at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Oh! That wine from Italy sounds really good!

We'll be in Epcot on the night we arrive, I'll be sure to pick some up.

I was thinking of buying those special Mickey wine glasses. Can I buy them somewhere in Downtown Disney?

staceykari, I had no idea you could send the online store items to the hotel! I live in Canada, so ordering anything from online Disney costs at least $30 for S&H, no matter how small the gift.

Hi !

I am not sure if you will have transportation while at Disney but the Rosa Regale wine is carried by both Publix and Winn Dixie here in Florida. The average price for it (in my area,at least) is $19.99. It is a great wine and heavenly with some nice chocolate!

*If you don't have a car while here, it would hardly be worth renting one just for that but if you are out & about anyway, you could pick it up.....:-)

Have fun on your trip !

Don't know how adventurous your dh is, but you could look into the richard petty driving school. I know that run specials.

how about a watch? Bought DH one at the store on Main Street for our honeymoon and he wears it to death. It looks like a hidden mickey made of the gears. Wasn't terribly expensive either.:goodvibes

Thanks for all the suggestions!

SaveTheSeaTurtles, I won't have a car, so I guess there goes that.

I've actually thought of getting him a watch because the ones I see on the disney store online are SOOO nice.

BUT, I just bought him a watch for Christmas cause his last one just broke and he needed one soon, haha.

He's not very into cars, so I don't know about the Richard Petty Driving Experience. It doesn't look very affordable either. I on the other hand, would LOVE to experience that one day.
