We are going to Disney in September 2008. We will be there for 9 nights. It will be me, DH, DS4 and DS10. There are a few restaurants that we know will be a must. (Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys AM, Crystal Palace AM). I need 6 more table services. :confused3 We will be on the dining plan so price is no object. This will be our last trip to the world for several years so I would like to make this a memorable trip. Do you guys have any ideas? Which ones would you choose and why.

Also, if I am arriving September 19 when can I start making my ADR's

Thanks guys:thumbsup2

Boma's and bring your sons to the AKL early to see the animals and tour the hotel. I love this place..great food and a kids food section too for more picky eaters

Have your children been to Disney before?

Japan is always a good choice. The kids love and remember the hibiachi table antics. Good plain healthy food.

Is Boma's best for breakfast or dinner? If we went for breakfast we would most definitely get there early to look around the resort and animals. The boys would really enjoy that.

My oldest went with us back in March. This will be our youngest first time. I'm so excited for him....

We have taken the boys to the Japanese restaurants around our home. Is the "show" at the table there good? I know some places there is little to no "show"

We love sci-fi dine in at Hollywood Studios for lunch, great burgers. The film clips are great fun and we love sitting in the cars to eat (despite being in our 30s we have never grown up).

Also, Spoodles on the Boardwalk is great for dinner. DH actually changed our ADR when we were there so we went to Spoodles twice he loved the steak kabobs that much. Lots of kids in there and a great atmosphere.

My favourite meal we had was at California Grill in the Contemporary. Again lots of kids present and the view was fantastic. The food was to die for and it was a very special anniversary meal for us. It is 2 credits on DDP but very worth it! If you get an ADR for around 7 you can see Illuminations in the distance and the Electrical Water Pageant. An ADR for 8ish would allow you to eat dinner then watch Wishes at the MK.

Hope this helps you decide!

I also strongly recommend Boma. It was excellent. We went for dinner. My kids love it and they were 6 and 3 at the time.

I wanted to throw in toy story pizza planet at MGM is good for counter service.

In MK I would suggest Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner.

In EP we went to coral reef and were not really satisfied although i have heard of others who love it. You get to watch an aquarium while you eat.

We actually like Sci-Fi also. We ate lunch when we were there in March. I'm just wondering if my youngest would be scared since it is in the dark...:scared1:

We've wanted to try California Grill just because of the awesome view of the fireworks......:thumbsup2

We might have to try Boma just because it is at the AK..that way we can go and look at the resort.

We actually thought about pizza planet too...I've heard that the pizzas are large enough that 2 people can share. When we go we are hoping to go MNSSHP and were thinking about eating at Liberty Tavern before the festivities.

We ate at Coral Reef in March too. Like you we were not impressed. The view of the aquarium was nice though. :thumbsup2

My brother is 12 and LOVES to go to the SCI-FI (it's in MGM).

Dinner at Ohana's at the Poly. They do kids' activities every half-hour or so. No characters, but is kid friendly.

I will have to keep Ohana's in mind. It would be nice to get to go to the Poly..:thumbsup2

Thanks for your help...:)

We have never been, but we have heard that that Character Breakfast at the Cape May Cafe is very good--and a lot of time with the characters (not as rushed as the other places).

We also love the Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom (right off Main Street). Lots of great sandwiches, fries and terrific shakes and desserts!
