Need help with a Kodak Z730 camera

I am new at this and can someone please help me if this camera has the capablities. I have a tripod and the camera and wondering does this camera have a timed delay sequence to which I can set it and then rush over and take a family picture. I am tired of forking over the money every year at Walmart, Sears to get our Christmas pictures done. I would like to try this by myself this year. Also how do you take Black and White photos? I have seen some other users able to take Black and White pictures and they look really nice. Any experts out there please? Thanks

To use the timer, hit MENU in the picture taking mode and select timer and the time interval. Then just hit the shutter and rush over to the group. If I want to make a picture black and white, I just change it on the easyshare software because I always like to keep the originals. Just double click on the photo you want to change to black and white or sepia or whatever and choose Fun Effects. You can even turn a picture into a cartoon looking photo.

What I have is a self timer mode in the menu which I changed it to on. Then all I do is press on the shutter and it takes a picture in about 10 seconds. Thanks for your help we took one this morning in our pj but it works. Now all I have to do is get some backgrounds set up, our clothes we want to take our picture in and get working. Again thanks for your help. As my wife says yep all you have to do if you have a question is to go to this board and ask for help from all of you knowledgeable people.

I know someone who knew he had a timer on the camera. He would set it up push the shutter button and race to get into the picture. Never made it. After watching him do that a couple of times he looks at me and asks what am I smiling about. Well, I said, have you thought of using the 10 sec delay instead of the 2 sec. He didn't know he had a 10 sec delay. It pays to carefully read the manual.
