My daughter and I are booked for the all music resort for the dates 3/14-3/19.
It is a resort only reservation and we were planning on purchasing the tickets once we arrived. Is there any way to take advantage of the advance fast pass+ reservations since we don't have the tickets yet but we do have the resort reservations? We were also wondering about the crowds during these dates. The spring break for our local schools is the week before but I realize that may not be the case everywhere. Is this week typically very crowded? Thanks for your help.

You can't book FP+ until you have tickets, because the 2 have to be linked. March and April are both considered spring break months, and crowds are bound to be on the higher side. have a great trip!
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ march 2014:joker:

Check out the crowd calendar at EasyWDW for the recommended parks to try and visit the best parks possible to shorten your waits (http://www.easywdw.com/category/calendar/03-march-2014/). It looks like, while the whole stay will be pretty busy, Friday and Saturday will be the worst for you, then in will lighten a small bit for the rest of the trip.

You could actually save some money and be able to take advantage of FP+ if you order your tickets in advance from Undercover Tourist. If you use the link in the Mousesavers newsletter (you can sign up at Mousesavers.com; the newsletter comes out on the 15th of every month), you can save a bit more. Then you'll have your ticket, FP+, and a little extra cash!

I was there on those exact dates last year. It will be crowded but not as bad as April and the heat isn't really bad at that point yet so the crowds aren't as bothersome. I don't know about you but I'm usually more anxious with crowds in heat than in milder temperatures. I will say to be prepared for group (cheerleaders, sports teams, school trips, etc) at your resort. This is a very busy time of year for the trips and the AS resorts are where many of them usually stay. We were in the midst of a cheerleading competition when I was there last year. This isn't too bad if you try to plan in advance for it. As far as the resort goes, ask to be in the Calypso or Jazz sections which are closer to the front. In may experience they tend to put the groups in the back of the resort (when possible, not always) so that they don't bother other guests as much. Usually the resorts will honor a room request if they can. Since you are going at a busier time of year they might not be able to accommodate the request but there is no hurt in asking. Also, research to see if there are any competition events going on while you are there. You can even just as a CM when you check-in. This can help you plan which parks to visit on which days. We went to HS the same day as the cheerleading competition that was being held there and there were cheerleaders EVERYWHERE! It wasn't really a huge problem but the park was considerably more busy that it was on previous days. HS can be bad for this because all the kids want the thrill rides and the lines back up quickly since there are only a couple at HS.

I know I rambled a bit but I hope some of this helps. Have fun and don't stress. No matter what happens, you're still at Disney!!

You will be there during the UCA International Cheerleader Competition. It's March 15th and 16th (I will be there for the competition.) I have no idea how many teams will be there as this is our first competition at Disney, but expect it to be very crowded that weekend. Most of the cheerleaders will be staying at All Star Sports. I've heard its booked solid. Be prepared for crowded buses since all of the All Star Resorts share a bus.

Thanks for all the great replies suggestions. I do have one more question. I noticed they have fast pass + for things like illuminations and parades which never had the old fast passes. Is this for special seating in a good viewing area? And if so is it worth it?
