Okay the inlaws are taking my family to WDW in April (getting in sat before easter leaving following sat. I know I know but its DS spring break and my DW and MiL are both educators so no skipping school). Its my job to do the research and make the reservations. We (FiL, MiL, DW, DS (7), DD(3) and me) are staying in VWL and I plan on cooking the majority of the time (as my way of helping out) but we wanted to make a few reservations. So far I have a Sanaa (Sun Dinner) hoping to get a view, Princess breakfast at Akershus (Mon) for the girls (DD(3) is a princess fanatic), Hoop-De-Doo on Thursday for dinner. My wife thinks we want 1 more dinner rez. My MiL is diabetic and has a hard time with load boisterous childern and wait staff (and we are going to Disney...hmmmm...). My inlaws are coming in from Seattle so Artist Point wouldn't be anything special. Whispering Canyon looks interesting to me but BBQ and rowdy kids would not make my MiL too happy. Any suggestions that would be easy to get to and interesting? I looked at Ohana but my DW thinks it too much meat. Not sure what else is close and would be easy to get too.

Thanks in advance!

So you want something around the MK area? how about GF cafe? Or Kona at the poly?

If your MIL has trouble with loud boisterous children, she's in trouble. But definitely AVOID Whispering Canyon if thats the case. Lol!

San Angel Inn--lovely atmosphere! there is a little boat ride inside the pavilion that the kids would probably enjoy.

Coral Reef--good food, nice atmosphere, giant fish tanks

The Wave--easy to get to, healthy options, pretty quiet

The Contemporary Resort is a boat ride away from the Wilderness Lodge. Have you considered either California Grill or The Wave?

California Grill is one of Disney's "signature" restaurants (& is 2 TS credits on the dining plan). The views are spectacular!! (And the food is good too!) There will be some kids, of course, but it's not going to be as loud as some place like Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I've never been the The Wave, but the menu looks interesting.

We've also enjoyed Kona Cafe (at the Poly). 'Ohana is a family favorite as well.

The Grand Floridian Cafe (at Grand Floridian) gets good reviews too.

You could get to the Poly & the GF restaurants by riding the boat the Contemporary & then taking the monorail to the other resorts for dinner.

Or maybe Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian? You could take the boat to the Magic Kingdom & then the GF boat to Narcoossee's - it's located at the boat dock as opposed to inside the resort.
