Need Help! What are the chances????

Due to a family emergency, I just had to cancel 1 of our studios at HH next week. Now it looks as if we may not be able to go at all and I may cancel my remaining studio there as well.

So my question is, what are the chances of getting another studio at HH in Oct at 60 days out? How about another room at any of the WDW DVC resorts in Dec this year at 60 days out?

This was our first trip booked using our points and it just makes me sick that all this happend. My poor DD will be so disappointed.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

It's hard to say. My gut feeling is that HHI in October is probably a good chance, especially if it's not Columbus Day Weekend. WDW in December tends to be pretty tight but you never know when they'll have a cancellation and being open to all resorts is a plus. If you could travel the week of the 13th you might be better off since it's between the condo meetings and on-line meetings the first week and the start of the Christmas rush. If when you first make a request they say nothing is available, go on the wait list and see what happens. It very often comes through in a week or so.

you may have a better chance in getting HH in oct but as far as wdw in dec. it will be difficult. i know the first two weeks are probably sold out, low points needed for ressies.
the third week you may be able to get a day or 2, mostly weekends
and christmas week there was some days left at SSR.

and it all depends on what type of room you need too.

My DH and I have decided to take it day-by-day and make our decision on whether or not to cancel next week on friday. My DF had 2 strokes this past weekend and right now things are improving, so we are keeping our fingers crossed!
