I'm interested in any info anyone can give me about WDW in January.

Mostly curious about crowds and anything that might not be running (attractions, parades, etc.) We'll be there towads late Jan.

Thank you!:wizard:

Crowds are usually light. We often go last week in Jan. through first week in Feb. and hardly ever wait in lines. allearsnet.com has accurate lists of what is closed, both seasonally and for refurbishment. Enjoy your time.

We went in the end of January this year and crowds were basically non-existant. We rarely used fastpass (usually it wasn't even open) and never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride. The weather was iffy - not toooo cold, but it was a wet cold, so a little weird. You'd definitely need to pack long pants and sweatshirts in addition to shorts and tees.

We visited in Jan 2003. The only time the parks felt crowded was over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. Otherwise, wait times were either short or non-existent. Be prepared for both warm and cold weather!

Nice in the day, cool at night. (Cold at night if you are from a warmer climate.) Low crowds, short lines, can walk up to many restaurants w/o a PS. Lots of fun!

Hi,

We have now traveled to WDW during the winter value season twice. Once during the first week in Feb and this past Jan during the last week of Jan. We are booked to return Jan 22nd through the 28th of 2005.

The crowds are non-existent. The rates for rooms are the lowest as they are value season rates. The weather is all over the place but since we are from Boston we can deal with mornings in the high 40s/ low 50s with mid 70s during the day. I believe you might only have one water park open and refurbs will be done but we do not find them to be any worse then when we go in the late summer value season.

I am posting live from the WDW Dolphin.

Jan and Sept are both great months to visit WDW.

I was there this past January, and was dazzled by the difference. There were absolutely no crowds at all. The weather was pleasantly cool to pleasantly warm. We were going on all sorts of rides that we'd never done before, because we could get on everything with almost no wait. We walked on the teacups, and I hadn't been on that ride since I was a little girl!

I'm completely spoiled now -- I don't think I'll ever be able to go at any other time of year.
