We will only be at WDW for 4 nights and I spent alot of time organizing PS. The plan was on our second day go to MK; We were offered to share an Illuminations cruise on the same day. We accepted of course.

So what do I do w/ the DS4 and DS3 in regard to naps? Also, we do not have park hoppers. Please help! TIA

I am not sure about the naps but just wanted to say I am pretty sure you can do the illuminations cruise without entering Epcot so you don't have to pay for admission for that. You could do MK in the day and then take a break in the room and have a light dinner before heading over to Epcot.

My kids would sleep in the stroller. When I knew they were tired enough to fall asleep, I would just keep pushing them around and they would fall asleep. Be sure to bring a lightweight blanket or sheet you can use to shade them from the sun while sleeping. If it's hot, you can find a restaurant sometimes that you can sit in.

I agree with the nap in stroller suggestion. It's a waste of time to head back to the room. Plus, my DD would never take a nap in a hotel room anyway especially is she had to leave a park to do so. Your kids will crash out in the stroller when they are tired enough.

My DD was the opposite of the above posts. She needed the quiet dark hotel room for her nap. I guess only you will know your children. But if it were me, I'd want to make sure that they had a nap so that everyone could enjoy the cruise.

I would suggest going to the room and napping, and then like the previous poster suggested just do the cruise without actually entering Epcot, there is no need. My two kiddo's always need the room to nap, we go in June though so it's just too hot for them to nap in the stroller. If it was cooler I may say stroller, but I don' tknow if our 4 year old would nap in the stroller, our 16 month old would though.

Another vote for stroller napping. My kids are 5 and 3 and we have taken 4 trips to WDW with them. Both are very different children and both have always slept in the stroller- we've never gone back to the room for a nap. DD was always a good napper- DS not so much. DD would fall asleep on her on in the stroller. DS was more of a challenge. We would let one adult take him to a quiet bench under a shade tree and either hold him or let him lay down until he went to sleep. However, I realize all children are different and this may not work for your children. So, I say go with what your gut tells you to do and try it. If it doesn't work the first day- try something different the next. Good luck!!! princess:

Thank you for all your replies. We are going to do stroller naps and see how it goes - hopefully the darlings won't be too cranky...their mom, now that's another story :)

Stroller naps didn't work for us either, we had to go back to the dark hotel room for a nap. Colin was 2.25 when we went to Disney in December and has always been a reluctant napper!!

Our kids wouldn't nap in a room at Disney. Stroller naps (and our own specialty - the Disney transportation nap) sufficed to get them to about 8pm, but we would have never survived an Illuminations cruise. We've just put off Spectro/Illuminations/MNSSHP etc until they are older.

Stroller naps worked for us too. They always seem to fall asleep during POTC

get a double stroller....hopefully they'll fall asleep at the same time!!! ours did when they were 6 & 3!!
