Hi All!
I could use some advice on show schedules for our visit Oct Sun 10-Wed Oct 13. The DL is open 8-12 Sun & Mon, 8-6 Tue, & 9-8 Wed. (Columbus Day is Mon)
We want to see Fantasmic, Remember Fireworks and World of Color. (We aren't doing MHP on Tue, just couldn't justify the cost.)

I'm currently thinking F! on Sun, Fireworks Mon, & World of Color on Tue. I'm wondering if Tue is the best day for WOC? I'm not sure how the crowds will me with MHP.

Any other thoughts/ideas?

Thanks!

I would try for the fireworks on the first night they are available. They are most susceptible to the wind and therefore most likely to be canceled if the weather is not right. If you try for them on the first night and they get canceled, you still have a chance on another night. You can actually see both Fantasmic and the fireworks in the same night if you want. You could watch the first show of Fantasmic and then stay near the Rivers of America and view the fireworks from there. Then at least you've gotten to see them, and if you want to try for a more castle-centric view the next night, you still can. An alternative would be to watch the fireworks from the hub first and then fight your way through the crowds to the second showing of Fantasmic.

Not sure about the crowd patterns currently with WoC or how early DL closure to non-treat guests will impact this, but regardless your best bet with that show is to get there with fastpasses in hand as early as they start letting people into the viewing area so you can secure a rail spot in whatever section you are in. Are you planning premium dining, picnics, or early morning fastpass collection? Remember to schedule time for whichever option into your day.

Thanks. I didn't think about the weather thing. I should also mention that we are traveling with an 8 year old and a 2 year old, so I'm trying to do things with as little wait as possible. We saw the second showing of F! last September, and it worked out great.

I personally think WOC is going to be crowded on Tuesday, with DL closing early for the MHP, people are going to flock over there and want something to do... If you are doing the dining, it might not be horrible, but I would expect it to be more crowded.

We tried the second showing in July for a change and because we didn't feel like just sitting and waiting for hours this time. We kind of hung out in the Haunted Mansion area near the end of the first show and gradually worked our way closer to the river. Then we watched the fireworks from there; not the greatest view but we weren't really bothered by that and we could hear all the music. Then we slipped into pretty decent spots one row back from the rail as all the people from the first show were leaving.

All of the fastpasses will be distributed for WOC every day (as in, it will be "sold out") so I don't think it matters which day you choose to go. Pick whichever day works best with the rest of your schedule!
