Need your help and advice with the following situation. We had made a reservation using the Fall package code with Dining at POR for 4 nights around Halloween. Total was around $1,800 for me, DW, DS, and DD.
Looking through e-mail spam folders, I came across my very first pin code e-mail. I thought, what the heck, I'll see if it is cheaper than the original package.
Called this afternoon, the agent on the phone looked over the current reservation and said that with the Pin Code, the rate would drop nearly $500!!! I thought, wait he must be leaving out something, so I pressed SEVERAL times to ensure that everything that was on the original reservation, 5 day base tickets, standard room and most importantly the Dining Plan were a part of the new price. I was assured several times that it was.
So, I thought, great lets add another night, which he did with no problem and the assurance that the dining plan was included. So I booked, kept the same confirmation number and relayed the great news to DW. Now, we could spend the savings to attend MNSSHP!!
Checking the itinerary tonight, I realized the fear that all was not right. No dining plan. I called back, explained and was given a new quote for dining that was more expensive than the original Fall code. I was escalated to a supervisor, who since it was late and the computers were shutting down for the night, has promised to look into this and see what she can do. She promised a call back on Saturday.
Do I have any hope of getting what was verbally promised to me when changing the booking????
