I have called CRO and they told me to call the Poly direct this Saturday to give them my room request. They told me NOT to fax, but to call. This is new to me. But anyway...

I want to sound somewhat knowledgeable when I request a room. So here is what I want:

Closest to the Ceremonial House as I can get
View of the Monorail from the room

I read here awhile back that someone had a room with a Monorail view and I think that would be awesome.

So does anyone know what building/specific room I should request to accomplish this?

Thank you so much in advance!

Christina

Ok, I'm not exactly positive but I think these three longhouses are closest to the GCH

Aotearoa, Tonga & Rarotonga

Maybe when talking to the Poly you can say "I'd like to stay in one of the longhouses that have a view of the monorail." Then you can say "Does Aotearoa, Tonga or Rarotonga have views of the monorail?"

I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you.

Good luck!

Have a WONDERFUL trip!:D

Aoteroa and Rarotonga are directly adjacent to the Great Ceremonial House and have monorail views. Be sure to specifically request monorail view as obviously only one side of each building faces the right way! Be aware that monorail view includes parking lot view. Tonga contains suites (very expensive).

Aotearoa is a little farther toward luau cove past Tonga and Fiji but I would go with that becuase if you do not end up on the side facing the monorail you will have a good view of the lagoon and the fireworks with a garden view price.

We stayed in Aoteorea last summer and had a monorail view. We were on the third floor. It had a great view of the gardens and you could not see any of the parking lots at all. It was really close to the GCH. I'm requesting it or Fiji again this year. My daughter had a lot of fun making a chart of what color monorails she saw during the week.
