Must make up my mind tonight because tomorrow is my last day to bank points.Have a reservation at BWV 1 bedroom, for 4 nights in late Aug.The 5 nights preceding that I will be at POR with 3 of my teen kids.I tried to change my reservation to 3 nights at POR and 5 nights at BWV because I think 5 nights in one room is tooooooo much. BWV is not available the first 2 nights of my reservation(a mo and tu) Right now I am waitlisted for the 2 nights,Should I risk it and stay with the wait list.(I really don't want to have to move 3 times in one vacation),or book OKW,SSR or VWL.OKW and SSr are fewer points so I have to make up my mind so I can bank the remainder :confused3 We are new dvc members and have not stayed at any of the dvc resorts. It is me,2 teens and 1 preeteen,no car.We LOVE the atmosphere at POR if that helps in your advice.Sorry so long, all opinions GREATLY appreciated! We were looking forward to BWV,thought the location would be great for older kids.

I don't know what view you have but did you ask if they have anything available at BWV( any view). I would take a different view at the BWV if I had to that way you are set and if you have to move you aren't going too far. Your waitlist may also come through by then. :wizard:

Hi! Welcome Home!!---in advance of your stay

Call CRO tonight and see if you can modify your POR room stay to the package that includes the free disney dining without penalty. It's a 3 night minimum. With hungry teens (I don't know if they're boys or girls) and a preteen (I know, I have one!) that alone would pay for your stay at the POR. I was surprised that POR is roomy enough to accomodate 5 guests. I've never stayed there before, but I'm taking my 2 kids and my niece and nephew (if I can convince them to go!) in August on the free-dining package. You have to purchase 1 magic your way 1 day base ticket minimum for everyone in your party. If you already have passes, you can use them towards your next visit. Anyway....if you are comfortable at the POR, I'd stay there for the 5 Ns, and keep your ressie at the bWV 1bdrm as is. Since the POR stay is at the beginning of your stay, the kids will be excited and the days will "fly" by. That way, you can just bank your points tomorrow for another visit. I hope that this helps!!

I love the BWVs!!

Well, for myself, I am willing to move maybe once in a trip - twice sounds like too much to me to even risk it (though I am traveling with much younger kids!) and so I think I would probably switch to a different resort if it is really that crucial to get out of the single room after 3 days. Again, that's just me!

I agree it's a good idea to check the different views and also possibly check to see if there is anything available for cash those nights at BWV, if that is a possibility for you. There have been lots of reports of people finding that there was availability for cash when there was none left for points. Good luck! :wizard:
