When checking in to the resort is it required that everyone be there to show ID ? DD 20 may not be arriving until midnight:scared: Also, can i use my younger kids one day ticket ( they have AP's ) that came with the package to purchase hoppers for other family members ? I need help quickly, because i have to decide if DD will be able to visit her friend in tampa that day we check in :confused3 TIA P.S. Do I have to have my tickets printed on the room key, or will they give you a regular paper ticket if requested ????

During Free Dining, there have been measures taken, at times, to ensure that there aren't "phantom guests" registered on the reservation, so folks aren't getting credits for folks who actually don't exist. It's not a matter of showing ID, but randomly they will require that all members of the party be presented at the check-in desk. If you think you may run into a problem, contact the hotel in advance, and negotiate a special exception. Get the waiver in writing on Disney letterhead, before you leave for your trip, and be prepared to present it at check-in if necessary.

On a one-for-one basis, yes. You cannot combine one day tickets towards the purchase of a single pass.

The passes will go onto your room keys, since they're part of your package. You may be able to get a guest services CM to pull them off onto mylar ticket stock, if they know how and have the time to do so. It's not a promised part of the service, though, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

When you check in, if they ask to see all parties, and your DD is not there, explain where she is. Worst case scenario, she may have to present herself later to get her room key. I would not worry about it, let her have her fun visiting friends. There are many families that travel seperately and may not be all there.

Once you purchase the one day tickets, they are yours to use or not to use. Not sure how that would work as they are attached to your room passes. bicker has good advice below, you may also want to ask on the theme park boards, they have more experts on the tickets, i believe. :thumbsup2

We've gone 3 times in the last year and a half with the dining plan (twice paid and once free). I've been the only one to go up and check in and have never been asked to see the rest of my family. We are going again this September - we'll see what happens then. Maybe they've become stricter. And depending on the length of the line, it's a pain to have everyone wait. I'd rather my husband take them for a walk to pass the time. We'll see....
