Hi,

My family are going to be visiting Orlando for my daughters' Make A Wish trip in a couple of weeks. We are planning on going to Universal at least one day. My daughter has restriction due to her heart condition. So no roller coasters or rough rides. Please give suggestions.

My kids are 8 and 12. My son is 12 years old and has autism (Asperger's) so any suggestions to help him enjoy the parks too.

We have a 2 day - 2 park tickets.

Please help, we have never been to Universal- so we have no clue.

Thanks in advance :flower3:

Hi Diane...welcome to the Darkside. ;)

For your kids...I would suggest the following:

On the Studios side...they would enjoy:

E.T.
Shrek 4-D (stationary seating is available)
Jimmy Neutron (stationary seating is available)
MIB (isn't too rough...spins some but they might enjoy it)
Twister (walk through attraction with loud noises but not rough)
Horror Make-Up Show
Animal Actors
Disaster! (shouldn't be too rough for them)

There is also the Woody Woodpecker Kids Zone which includes Barney and Curious George as well as Fievel's Playground.

On the IOA side:

Suess Landing (all attractions should be OK...Cat in the Hat spins so you might want to try it first)
Camp Jurassic play area
Me Ship The Olive play area
Poseidon's Fury (walk through attraction...some loud noises)

They could spend hours in Seuss Landing and Camp Jurassic not to mention the Jurassic Park Discovery Center.

As far as the rides go...check out YouTube and see what you can find...that might help you some.
:thumbsup2

My kids loved the water play area's in both parks and could have spent all day there so be prepared for them to get wet.

Make a Wish program is honored at Universal similar to the way disney handles it.

check with Make a Wish group to find out the information about it.

do check in with guest services when you are at the universal parks for the additional services they provide for the families.

have a great time at Universal !!

Thanks for the advice. I was planning on having the kids wear their suits under their clothes or bring along. Can anyone tell me where we could see Scooby Doo at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. My daughter loves Scooby Doo sooooo much. Also, wondering if you like the ride Jimmy Neutron? My son loves him, but I have heard it can cause motion sickness. My son get sick easily, so we will give him medicine to help.

Thanks again for the replies.

Personally...I don't like Jimmy Neutron but that's me. It can cause motion sickness but there are stationary seats available...just ask a TM when you enter.

My kids are big JN fans and loved the ride. There mother sat in the stationary seat and had no problems. Try the stationary seats 1st, your son might be happy with that and you don't need to take a chance on him getting sick.
