I won a trip though a work promotion! We are flying out next Thursday morning and will arrive in Orlando around 11:30. We are leaving on Sunday morning. We basically only have Thursday afternoon, all day on Friday and Saturday. My DH and DS (7) and I have been before but my niece (9) has not. We have a special invitation/area/dessert for the Illuminations at Epcot on Thursday evening. If our room is ready we may rest and then head over to Epcot Thursday. Do AK Friday morning 1/2 day (EMH) and maybe MK that evening. Do MGM Sat morning 1/2 day (EMH) and back to something we missed. We also have passes to Pleasure Island or Disney Quest. We are just going to hit the highlights and some special things my niece has not seen. A few weeks after finding out about the trip, we found out that DH has MS so we will be taking things at a very slow pace. We have not been in 4 years and got to stay a week then so it is hard to put everything Disney in 2 1/2 days. How does this plan sound to you? What not to miss? Thanks! We are just so excited just to get away from the stress of the last few weeks. Pray for a cold front!!!:)

Wow! Congratulations on winning your trip. Since you have been there and your neice has not, maybe she can let you know what she would like to see. Is your neice familiar with the Disney website? They have some great clips of attractions and rides she could look at and choose what she would like to see on this trip.
Here is some pixie dust for your Dh, hopefully all will be well. Have a great trip! :wave2:

Wow...a free trip! That's awesome! Your plan sounds great, but I would suggest looking into buying passes for E-ticket night (they usually run on Friday nights). That would give you 3 extra hours in the MK with the crowds being much smaller than usual. That could free up some time for you to do other things too!

Have a great trip!

Congrats on winning the trip! We should all be so lucky! I'm glad someone won that appreciates the prize!

Anyway, your plan sounds fine. Just try to be relaxed and don't let your self be rushed. You don't have as much time as you like, but don't try to cram it all in, you'll just make yourselves miserable. Your plan of hitting the highlights sounds good, and you don't seem to be doing too much park hopping (transportation time takes away from park time!). Maybe use one of the Unofficial Guide's touring plans for the parks. They have it down to a science about which ride to do when to avoid long waits, and they've done all the planning so you don't have to! I haven't tried one myself, but I will when I go in December.

I'm sorry to hear your husband is sick, I hope he feels okay for the tirp!

I agree on getting e-tickets for friday night. It will give you extra time at MK on friday night. Most of all just relax and take it as it comes. You can't possibly see it all in 2 and 1/2 days so enjoy what you do see and take lots of pictures to remember this trip. Sorry to hear about hubby, hope it feels better. Make sure the kids get to see the MK parades of you can and the Wishes Fireworks. They are great. And congrats on winning the trip!!!

I agree with the e-ride ticket suggestion. If you utilize that, you could go to the park in the morning, then at/right after lunch you can go back to your room and get some rest, and then be ready for a much cooler, less crowded evening. We did this for our last trip a couple of weeks ago and it worked out great!!!

Good luck on your planning, and have a "Magical" trip!!!
