We are planning on very first trip to WDW December 17-26. I need help deciding on where to eat at on Days like Christmas Eve and day. So far I think we will go see the Hoopde do on the evening we arrive since it will be around 5pm. I would like to do Cinderella Royal breakfast if I cant get it Christmas eve or day. Just not sure where else to go from there! It will be my DH 43 myself 37 and DD 20 months--any and all suggestions will be appreciated!  :flower:

This would be the best time to do some of the "classics". I can't think of a better way to spend the holidays than at WDW.
Ohanas at the Poly is not to be missed
Le Cellier at Canada
Mama Melrose's at MGM
Liberty Tree Tavern at MK
Try to eat in every park so you can enjoy the decorations. Make your PS for early evening and you will avoid the rush that happens between 6pm and 8pm. Then you'll be full of energy for all the evening activities the parks have to offer. At this point, don't worry about coordinating your PS with the start of a parade or show, that can come later when your child is older to enjoy it. Be sure to make your PS on day 1 when you can. Some are 60 days out, some are 6 months out.

Also, the resorts have some great restaurants as well. When you want to get away from the crowds for a dinner break, I'd suggest doing that.

Also, you can make Hoop reservations 2 years out. The earlier you reserve, the better seats you get, so you might want to go ahead and do that now. We love the Hoop - been to it 5 times. Your DD shouldn't get bored - there is action, music, food - something going on at all times.

At 20 months, your DD might still be a little scared of the characters. I would suggest a character meal where the characters are "people". Cindy's is a good choice. If you can't get into Cindy's, don't forget the Princess breakfast in Norway. We've been to both, and honestly, other than the view, enjoyed both equally. Also, 1900 Park Fare has Alice, Mary Poppins, and other face characters as well as the Pooh set. We had Pooh and company stay away from our table when our daughter was still scared of him. But she loved Alice, et al.

I would also suggest the Biergarten. They have an oompah band there. The food is pretty good, but its when the kids head down to the dance floor and my husband and I get to actually EAT that I love this restaurant!

We also love the Biergarten. But our favorite character dining experience is Chef Mickey's. The character interaction is wonderful and the fool is delicious. Breakfast at Cinderella's Castle is magical because of being inside the castle. The food is OK. But we do it every trip because I have two little girls that are dreaming about being princesses. We also like the Whispering Canyon Cafe because of our kids. They have the kids ride wooden stick ponies around the restaurant. The kids really like it. We have tried almost every restaurant at Disney and have yet to find one that we really don't like. Hope this helps.

I guess what I am really asking is what would be the best plan of "attack" as it were..........I want Christmas Eve to be just perfect and I know it will be crowded, where would be a great place for dinner for my small family as I am not sure what activites WDW does for Christmas Eve, plus am looking for something good for Christmas Day--something DH wont be apt to forget!Thank you ever so much for your replies, I am a planning fool to begin with and Christmas is usually my "Big Blast" per se so its very difficult to plan for somthing like this when we have never been there. Oh my goodness...its almost like the holiday stress all over again (breathe Lucinda breathe lol). Still should be easier than planning for holidays with his 10 brothers and sisters and their broods......................right?? :rotfl: :rolleyes1

Looks like you've found the perfect escape plan!! 10 brothers and sisters!! ;)
