Here's the deal. I'm going to WDW in September with two friends. One has been to WDW before but he probably only eats burgers at the park or nothing at all. Another has never been to WDW before. I told them that if they were coming with me (I booked a timeshare and invited them to come) then they had to save their pennies because I intended on going to some WDW meals. I told them that there would be at least one character breakfast (Crystal Palace) and one dinner at Le Cellier. I don't want to blow the rest of their bank though so I can only really plan a maximum of 2 other meals in the park. And I mean table service. We can do counter service whenever we get hungry.

Sooooo...any suggestions for my two virgin WDW diners? I didn't like Boma the last time I was there so don't suggest that one. LOL They're not too picky (haha..well, let me rephrase that....they may not be too picky) but one has to have a pretty much non-dairy menu while the other one would prefer choices other than beef (yeah, Le Cellier is going to be interesting...)

Since we're going after Labour Day, I figure we shouldn't need to bother with the Fantasmic Dinner package... it shouldn't be to crowded.

So... resort, park, DD restaurants? Any suggestions for the ultimate Disney experience?

I'm a big fan of Kona Cafe in the Polynesian. First it's in the Polynesian, second is the tuna oscar. Third is the bread.
Food Court at POR offers nice variety of meals and it's very reasonable in price.
DTD - Wolfgang Puck Cafe
For something completely void of anything...Whispering Canyon in the Wilderness Lodge...that will take their minds off of everything!

Well you can't beat Coral Reef for the 'wow' factor and the prices for lunch are reasonable but the food is still top quality and has a variety of menu choices, so that's my first suggestion. Since you've got something booked in both Epcot and MK, I'd say that Prime Time would be fun for everybody if you're planning on heading over to MGM, er, Hollywood Studios. There's plenty of Disney fun to be had at the resorts as well with Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon or even Cape May. And since they're buffet (and WC has the option of ordering from the menu if they don't want the skillet), there's plenty of choices for everybody. HTH! I'm sure ya'll will have a great time! :)

Ooooooooo...I never even thought of Whispering Canyon. That's a great idea. It'll give me a chance to look at Wilderness Lodge too. And I like the idea of maybe Prime Time at MGM...maybe for lunch.

I've considered Coral Reef and I think we'll be at Epcot twice that week... so maybe I can convince them to go to 5 meals. LOL Maybe it'll work if I make it lunch at the Coral Reef...

I've always wanted to go to the sandwich place at DD too. Geez...not enough days in the week to sample all the restaurants. :rotfl:

You have to go to Earl's at DTD! It's cheap, the same as a CS in the parks, unless they upped their prices. If you're not planning time at DTD, you could always take a break from one of the parks if it gets too busy and head over. The line may seem long but it moves very fast. Depending on the time of day, you may or may not have trouble finding seating in/around the actual restaurant. It's definitely worth it though!

Ack....ok...ok....maybe I can convince them to go there on our first night...sort of an intro to Disney by going to DD. LOL

It's funny...the past few years, I've only gone at Christmas...it'll be weird to be in DD without the lights....but hopefully without the huge crowds either!!
