I need some help picking a loop to request(yea I know about request).
I would rather not hear dogs barking( I like em actually).
Or Busses wizzing by.
And maybe able to use the satellite tv(not being blocked)
Would love foliage around us.
Fishable lake nearby?
Suggestions please.
Yes I realize this is not life or death.

1300, it always seems to be the quietest loop.

Fix,

Wanting foliage and a satellite view is a tough combination. It can be hit-and-miss.

Most of the loops have bus noise for the part of the loop up by the main roads. The backside of the loops (away from the main roads) are quiet. 1800 and 1900 are Full loops and both well away from the main road so thus they are among the quietest. But they are wooded.

Are you shooting for any particular site type? (Premium, Preferred, etc)

1600 thru 1900 are pet loops, there is a higher chance of a barking dog there.

Thanks Ed, I have booked a prem.
Where or when do I let someone know if I have pets or not( I don't).
Thanks
Chris

I would rather not hear dogs barking( I like em actually). In addition to the loops above, 300 is also a pet loop if you are considering a Preferred site.

Or Busses wizzing by. I think almost any loop on the back side away from the road will be fine. 600 and 700 may be closest to the main road. They aren't really loops. You can request to be towards the back of a loop.

And maybe able to use the satellite tv(not being blocked) I have always found some place to put the dish to get a signal. It may take 100 ft of line. If your dish is movable, it's a good chance you can find a signal. If it's mounted on the roof of your RV, It's less than 50/50.

Would love foliage around us. That's almost any loop. Some have more than others though.

Fishable lake nearby? I'd ask for a Non-pet loop, towards the back, on a canal. There are actually quite a few sites that meet the criteria.

Chris, when you booked a site, that was the time to specify a pet loop (or not). By default, since you didn't ask for a pet loop, they won't try to put you in one. But the pet/no pet loop line is kinda blurred to me honestly so I hope you end up getting what you're looking for.

That's very true what Teamubr said. A 100-foot coax line might be the best way to work with whatever site you end up with. I just put a 100-foot coax on my dish that I use for tailgating at Bama games and take camping with me. I'll be camping during Thanksgiving week at a campground I know well and you can reserve specific sites. I know from past visits where folks put their dishes to get a clear shot of the sky and the nearest site I could get was the second one over. So I got the extra long coax to run through the woods.

Even when I was in loop 400 last trip, I had vertical trees on either side but nothing overhead. But I had a big open space behind me toward loop 500 that I could have reached with a 100-foot cable and it was open enough. It was right next to tiggerdad's old site which was a shade tunnel (thick foliage on all three sides) but a long cable out the back of the site would have worked.

The "beep beep" of the signal strength meter going faster creates a Pavlovian response in some guys (it gets me energized, I will say that).

You might get lucky and get a site that opens to the southwest.

not sure I have quite figured out the whole premium site thing yet following the boards, seems like a lot of people like 700. I have a 30 ft TT we will be bringing down.

We have a fixed satellite I usually always get a signal before we put slides out and levelers down I check for a signal sometimes it's just a matter of moving rv forward or back a little. For the few times I did not get a satellite I used disneys cable. 100 loop is pretty much heavily wooded except for the first couple of sites when entering loop. I never stay in any of the loops in the 1000's. Loop 600 is on a good lake with many sites with no trees, this loop may meet your needs very well, I think it maybe a pet loop I can't remember.

Here's a list from another site of what the Loops are designated. I'm not sure how old this is, but it looks pretty accurate. As for the difference between the 4 types, Premium sites are generally "Big Rig" friendly. They have the widest paved area. The roads in the loop have been trimmed back and it is fairly easy to get a 40+ ft rig around. These sites do not have the crushed shell pad for a tent, but have the most pavement. Preferred sites are the 3 loops closest to the Settlement and the marina. The sites are closer to a "Full" site as far as size and width. They also have the crushed shell pad for a tent. I have seen some bigger rigs in Preferred, but they don't make it easy. I prefer Loop 100 and have stayed in 200. I like having a short walk to the marina. Full and Partial sites are more suited for smaller campers, pop-ups and tenters.

Hope this helps it make sense.
