My fiancée recently expressed a desire for a charm bracelet. I latched onto the idea, thinking it might be a nice gift to get her a new special charm on each anniversary.

I know Disney sells Chamilia charms. It seems these fit on Pandora bracelets as well. I was also considering a Tiffany bracelet, which is the more "traditional" style of bracelet vs. the Chamilia/Pandora bead style.

Any suggestions? Pandora seems very expensive (as well as snooty about putting Chamilia beads on it), Chamilia almost too cheap, and Tiffany right in the middle.

Can I be safe to assume that the Tiffany blue bag still has some caché? ;)

Personally, I would go with either Tiffany or Pandora. I LOVE my Pandora bracelet (and I do have a few of the Disney charms on it!)--- it's a great gift. My fiance LOVES buying me charms--- he doesn't have to stress about gift giving anymore!

However, anything from Tiffany is always good too. :lmao:

I have a Chamilia bracelet and love it! Plus, they have the Disney charms. I don't think it's a "cheap" bracelet as you said. It's not that much less expensive than Pandora. DH got me the coach charm before our wedding and got me the "Dreams really do come true" charm on our honeymoon.

That being said, he did get me a pair of earrings from Tiffany as my wedding present. They match a necklace he had gotten me previously. That blue box is important to some girls.

Go for a Pandora bracelet to start and you can always get charms from either Pandora or Chamilla to fill it. Pandora is better quality but they don't have a very wide selection of charms and their charms are often discontinued.

No offense intended. I simply meant price points. The silver Chamilia bracelets are $50-70 ($295 for a gold snap). The Tiffany is $245-330. I see now that I was looking at the wrong Pandora bracelets ... they are indeed in the same price range at the Chamilia. (I was looking at $700 bracelets!)

I have three charm bracelets from James Avery and I love em! I am not sure if there is one in your area. But there is a website. www.jamesavery.com I don't know what kind of taste your future wife has but I will say that these bracelets are pretty and simple. I wear mine everyday. Check em out.

I vote Tiffany...a timeless gift that she can hand down later in life. Tiffany has a newer style of charm bracelet they came out with in the last year. Each link on the bracelet has the ability for you to open it and securely put a charm on it without having to use a spring hook for each individual charm. It is awesome...my DH bought it for me on Monday for my 40th. There are three link styles to choose from. I have sterling silver Disney charms and Tiffany charms that can be put on it or it can be worn by itself. :thumbsup2

Thomas Sabo ( a European company but available online in USA) has lots of Disney charms.

Very well made bracelets and charms.
