Hi everyone! I am booking our WDW vacation today and have a few questions...

- If we book with free dining, can you pay to upgrade to deluxe dining? When I try to select that option online it looks like it's making the price go up more than that difference should be...

-When is the last time you can use your meal credits? For instance, can we use the meal credits through the end of the day on the day we checkout?

-How early can we check into our resort to get our park tickets, or do they get mailed to you before you check in?

-If DH and I already have park tix, can our DD use her park tix and one of ours, too?

Thanks so much!

I believe you need to do that with a represenative you need to book by phone.

Credits may be used until midnioght the day of checkout

You can check in as early as 7am... they will give you your room keys and you tickets and dining plan credits will be attached to that card. They will text/ call you when your room is ready. You can check your bags with bell services and head to the parks.:cool1:

-If DH and I already have park tix, can our DD use her park tix and one of ours, too?If your daughter is on the reservation then she will have her own ticket attached to her room key... I dont think you can share tickets but not 100% sure.

When I am booking WDW, I always get an online quote and then call. Often the prices are different, and the CM you speak to should be able to explain the difference price wise between free dining and upgrading. If they can't, call back and speak to someone else. You can check in at anytime on your arrival day. Even if your room is not ready, you can activate your tickets and use the hotel amenities. Tickets are person specific, and your daughter can not use anyone else's ticket. Your tickets and meal plan expire midnight of check out day.

Hope that helps. Happy planning, and have a great trip!

1. Yes, you can upgrade the dining plan to deluxe, you would just pay the difference between the one that's free and the deluxe plan (with the free plan being dependent on which level of resort you're booking).

2. DDP credits are good until midnight of the day you check out.

3. You can check in as early as 7:00 a.m. to get your KTTW cards.

4. If you and your DH aren't going to use the park tickets that come with the package, then your DD CAN use them. This can only be done if you and your DH don't use them first. Keep in mind that once your DD uses it, it cannot be used by anyone else after that as once tickets are scanned at a park entrance, they are for use by that person from that point on. As the pp said, tickets cannot be shared, but can be given to someone for use before they are used.

Thanks everyone! Sadly, it will not work out for us this time...DD is in her school play and I just found out that they will have a rehearsal on the 18th. I had hoped since it was a short week of school they wouldn't have a practice but they do and cannot miss. My plan was for us to go to WDW 12/15-23 and now it would be 12/19-23 at best...at least I know the deal if we get to do it another time...

We've only done Disney cruises, so excuse my ignorance.

I know on the cruise everything is attached to your KTTW card...

With the resort stay, are the tickets separate from the card (or whatever you use) to use the meal credits?

If they're all on the same card, it's not a problem for DD to use the park admission part of the ID and DH or me to use the meal portion of the same ID?

If you aren't going to use your tickets I'd have them remove them from the KTTW card so you don't accidentally use them. You can then save them for the future your your dd could turn around and use one. It won't affect your dining credits those will be on the card

I was going to say exactly what the pp said :thumbsup2. Having the tickets removed from the KTTW card would probably be the easiest way to do it. When using dining credits, any one KTTW card can be used for everyone in that room; you don't have to use each individual card for each person.

When you book a package, the tickets and dining credits are on your KTTW card, just as everything is on your KTTW card for a cruise ;). However, unlike a cruise where your tips are automatically added to your account, at WDW you are responsible for any tipping done at restaurants, valet, etc.
