I need help deciding when to go to dinner and where before the halloween party. I want to be at the 3:00 parade at Magic Kingdom and then at the parade at 8? Correct me if I'm wrong. I think that is when it is? When and where should I have dinner in order to make both parades? I'm staying at AKL and thought about having dinner in between but not sure I could do it and make the parades or not? I also have dinner ressies at 3:20 at Crystal Palace. Not sure if that will work or not? Any suggestions?

I say, cancel CP (you'll miss most of the 3:00 parade), grab a hot dog from Casey's to eat while watching 3:00 parade, then hit up a counter service when you get hungry. Why would you want to waste time you've paid extra for eating at a TS?

Your 3:20 adr at CP is lunch I believe, just so you are aware.
And I would say the 3pm parade may not be done by then. (you don't want to be late to an adr they can cancel you).

So what I would do is look for an adr in MK or the monorail resorts for 4:30-5pm. That would give you enough time to eat and be back for the start of the party (7pm).

Not sure what time the party parade is, but it isn't right at 7pm, so you have time to get you a spot.

Have fun!

I didn't mention that I will be with my parents hubby and 3 kiddos. Ages 8,5,2. I don't mind only seeing part of the 3;00 parade, but will probably need to take them back for some rest in between. Maybe even eating at Mara before we leave?

Do you plan on being in MK all day, or do you just want to see the parade at 3? If MK isn't a must that day, maybe spend the morning at the pool at AKL and taking part in some of the things that go on durring the day. Then, if you want a late lunch, either go with Mara for something quick or Sanaa at Kidani for a TS lunch, then head over to MK, well rested, in time for the parade.

Personally, my girlfriend and I (who are also staying at AKL) are having Boma for breakfast and then plan on spending the whole day at MK (it's nice to not have kids :rotfl2:) and then we have a 4:25ish ADR at The Plaza for lighter dinner figuring we'll have popcorn or something durring one of the parades.

I would say that if you are planning to take a break, take it earlier. Like from 1-3, 4ish, then go directly to the dinner and then the party. If a break is more important than the 3pm parade, I would totally skip that parade and not miss any of the party.

Well I have a similar situation, just doing MVMCP instead. Our plan is sleeping in, going to MK right before lunch, spending the afternoon there. Then we'd go over to GF for 1900 park fare for dinner at 5, and back to MK for the party :) Hope this helps! I think you would do well to go to any of the monorail resorts for dinner before heading back. I'm not a big fan of MK's table service options myself!

We go for two weeks so we have more time.

I don't schedule anything on the party night now. We try to sleep in (niece has no trouble), have breakfast at our resort, go to DTD or stay at our resort and swim. Have a nap (my niece, I can't sleep at WDW). Eat a CS dinner inside MK before 7pm. I also plan the next morning as a sleep in day.

You can get into the MK at 4pm with your party ticket.

We are just doing MVMCP on the party day, so we have ADR's at Grand FLoridian Cafe at 1:35, then take our time getting to the MK entrance at 4:00. If we have extra time, perhaps a Lapu Lapu at Poly? :drinking1

We keep the morning free on party days, too. The better rested your kids are, the longer they will last that night.

We do breakfast and/or lunch at the resort and counter service at the park. Last year at MNSSHP, we ate while waiting for the parade to start. DH and the kids staked out our spot, and I got food and brought it over. That worked out well.

that will be a LONG day with kids that age- and witht he price of the party it will probably be an early night

you can enter for the park for the party at 4pm.
If you come to the park before 4pm you would need a seperate admissions.

We went at 4pm-- got so much done by 7pm when the party was really started it was amazing.

We made an OHANA breakfast in the early AM- went to the hotel for swimming and a nap.
The party is long. and there is no way we could do the park all day then do the party

The early parade was uber crowded - hardly no waits for the rides or characters. Awesome seats for the later parade-- which many people left right after the fire works.

No way will I waste precious party time with sitting down to a meal-
