Need help making DD Legal...

At least it is not a uniform. DD9 can either wear a specific plaid skirt from the uniform store or khaki slacks with navy or white polo. No visible logos on anything. It has been HORRIBLE trying to find khakis to fit her. She is a dancer and competitive cheerleader, has been since she was 3 so she has a myscular lower body and a small waist. Kids sizes aren't built for that. They are basically retangles with no difference between waist and hip or thigh and knee. By the time they go over her legs, the waist is so huge they fall down and they are way too long. After several hours of trying on and a few tears we bought juniors 000 short khakis as Aeropostale today. I am going to have to take about and inch and a half off the length, but at this point I just don't care as long as they fit.

Dealing with this this year too. My D is 12 5'4" and 130lbs. No way is she fitting in junior sizes. Thankfully I found a size in women's petite that fits perfectly without needing to be hemmed. I bought her men's shorts because she doesn't care and I couldn't find khaki women's shorts. She then has a choice of 7 or 8 polo colors but only liked 4. She fit the largest boys size great. So, our school is a little more lenient but it's public school. Bought everything at the Vanity Fair outlet. Felt so lucky!

This^^ so much. My daughter was in the 5th grade last year and her teacher told the girls no tank tops. This was not a school policy but her own rule. The schools policy is at least 2in. and no halters. I tried to fight it because their school is hot and there is no air in her room but the Principal told me that the teacher can make her own rules at her own discretion as long as they were not in direct violation of any school policies. Her reason for having this rule: The girls are all starting to develop and their bodies become a distraction to the boys. I was furious that my daughter had to suffer through the last month of school because her teacher is a prude and livid because it made my daughter very self conscious about her developing body. At 10!

I need help finding tank tops or undershirts for DD16 to wear under her thin/sheer tops for school. A lot of the tops that are "in" right now are made from thin or sheer materials. In order to keep her "legal" according to the school district's dress code policy, she needs to wear a "legal" garment underneath. I'm needing a tank or undershirt that has straps that are at least 4 fingertips wide. I need scoop neckline as well. I found some on Amazon that worked as far as the strap width but they are crew neck so they come up too high to work with most of her tops. Just needing basic colors like white, black, navy, etc. Has anyone seen anything that may work. BTW, she is tiny...a size 0 or maybe 1. Thanks for any guidance on where to find something.
