Hi all,

We are gearing up for a trip in June. We had annual passes linked to our magic bands for over a year now but they have since expired. We plan to use some park hopping passes that we purchased in 2010 that still have some days left on them (no expire). When trying to add them to MDE (using the older ticket section), I keep getting an error that something is incorrect and to type it again. So I used the option to scan the tickets and then I get the error that these are already linked to another account.

I spoke to a CM about this on the phone who was of very little help. She basically told me that some batches of tickets just can't be linked (!). So, I'm not sure what to do next. We were planning to start booking our fastpasses but we can't book any with no tickets.

Any ideas?

Call again. See if they will transfer you to tech support people. Sometimes a different cm can make all the difference.

Is it the ticket on the lower right hand side of this page? If so, make sure you have the numbers & letters right. It should be date WDE:LLL### ##### (L=letter, #=numbers) They are hard to read and sometimes numbers look like letters and letters look like numbers. That is the problem I had the first time I tried to add them on the phone. I was giving the wrong letters and numbers.

It is also possible that the CM that you got just didn't know how to do it or just didn't feel like it. It does take time, I think I was on almost an hour with the first set of tickets I tried to link. The CM had to have all the numbers including the 4 small digits on the left side. They had to get ticketing involved and on with them at the same time they were talking to me. We finally got DHs & my tickets linked to MDE. They didn't show up on our MDE online account because we also have APs, but they did show up on my cell phone App. A few days later I added my DS ticket to his new MDE that he will be using for his honeymoon and that went much more smoothly since I knew the correct letter and number placement.

If you get someone who says they can't do it, try calling again. It is worth the time and effort if you can get it done so you can book your fastpasses.

I did call again and got a bit further. The CM wasn't able to find the tickets either, but she had a "specialist" work on it (on hold for a while) and they found our 3 tickets. They were out in the system but not attached to an address, so I had to verify they were mine by telling where I purchased them, etc. It was all sort of odd. They were willing to link my son's, but not mine or my husband's because we didn't know whose was whose. In the end, they didn't link my son's because since I just tried to link them unsuccessfully, it locks you out for 24 hours so I have to call back tomorrow. The funny thing with my husband's and mine is that we recall using them ONLY to transfer two days of Disneyland park tickets, and have not used them in the WDW system. However, the "specialist" CM said that there was biometric data from the WDW system on them so he would not link them for us. Couldn't I just guess at whose is whose (I sort of have an idea, but I'm not sure), and then have them fix it when we get there if we are wrong? At least this way we could make fastpass ressies. The whole thing seems really odd. The more I have thought about it, the more I am quite sure we did NOT use them at WDW. When I asked them to tell me the date of the biometric data at WDW they refused. I was just wondering if anybody else had some more input. Thanks....
