Need Help in Deciding # of Points to Buy for SSR

My husband and I will probably buy our first DVC points very soon at Saratoga Springs Resort. My son and his wife have 150 points at BWV. We also have a brand new grandson that we want to spoil and take on many, many "magical" vacations. We've been to WDW at least 20 times but now seems to be the right time to buy something for the future. I'm not sure if we'll go to WDW every year since we also have a timeshare in Key West. But...I would love to use the points to go to Hawaii in the near future. I'd really appreciate input on if 150 points is enough or should I go higher? The $79 a point looks really good...Thanks all for your help!!!

Buy as many as you can comfortably afford, because they will never be enough!!!!!!

I say that sort of tongue-in-cheek and sort of seriously. DH and I bought 200 points in 1997 and lived with those for 5 years until we bought 230 more. Now we have a total of 430, and I would STILL love more!!!!!!!!

Depends on when you would want to visit. What kind of unit you would want to stay in. For instance a 2 bdr at SSR Dream season which is the most popular is 316 points.
That should give you an idea if you want to take someone along. Hope someone else comes along with more advice.
We bought 240 points. We felt 150 wasn't enough. So we went with what we could afford.
