Can anyone tell me which of the three "villages" these rooms can be found in? I think they are in the Ranchos section right? Thanks in advance! ;)

I tried copying and pasteing but no luch. What color are the headboards and bedspreads?

That is in the Casitas section. The Cabanas have a fairly bright red bedspread and the Cabanas have a more muted red and blue color.

Ah-hah...so it's in the Casitas section! I would prefer the muted colors! Do you think I could request a waterview in the Casitas?

Water view is a room category that is about $20 more per night or something (I'm not exactly sure of the price difference). The area of the resort would be a request....and it won't be guaranteed. I do think they do what they can to honor requests but its not always possible. When we stayed at CSR we requested Cabanas and gave the two building numbers we preferred. We did get our request and got a great convenient room.

So if you want the water view I'd reserve that and make the request for Casitas.

When we booked the room we paid for a water view, so I guess it would just be a matter of requesting a certain area of the resort. I need to decide between Casitas and Rancheros (?). I know I don't want the Cabana's, as the colors are a bit too bright for my tastes.;)

Of Casitas and Rancheros which one would you chose, and why??

The Casitas are my favorite section of the resort. As a warning, though, the convention center is in this area, so you might see more conventioners. :)

Ehhh, I think I can put up with some conventioners. It will just be the hubby and me!;)

We had a water view on the second floor in Casitas Building 4. It was very nice. Had a view of the Dig Site, and we were close to the bus stop and the food court. Haven't stayed at any other section of CSR, but I walked past Rancheros to go to the Dig Site and I thought the Casitas buildings looked nicer. Just an opinion.

BTW- does anyone know where I can find that online guide to faxing in room requests? Thanks for your help! ;)

You can also find the phone numbers on this site.

I prefer the Ranchos over the Casitas. The Ranchos seem to be better themed to me and I loved my stay there. I liked the room as it was more subdued in color. However there are not alot of expansive water views here. You could get a pool or pond view. I happened to get a wonderful view of the courtyard, naturewalk, lake, El Centro and Casitas. This was not particularly close to the lake but was very nice.
The casitas are pretty but it reminds me more of a hotel atmosphere than anything else.
