We are going to WDW in April, and staying for 9 nights. Unfortunately, I was 10 points shy of being able to book all 9 nights in a 2bdr at Boardwalk, so for our fist night, we were able to grab a 1bdr at OKW. We are looking forward to this as I have never seen the resort, and I am anxious to see how big these rooms really are.

Anyway, I got my confirmation in the mail today and it says 1-Bedroom near Hosp. House. Not knowing the layout, where does this put me - and is it a good place to be, or should I request something else?

Also, our plane lands about 6:15pm, and I am going to rent a car at the airport as I want to make a grocery store run the next day. I am concerned about what our options are for dinner at the resort. If I had to guess, we probably won't be there until close to 8:00pm, so what is open at that time for dinner, and do I need any reservations?

Thanks in advance for your OKW expert responses!!

I'm not an OKW expert but here's what I do know:

Hospitality House is the main area and where the pool & stuff is. Supposed to be a great location. So many people were requesting it that they made it it's own booking category (like Boardwalk view at BWV). Mapof OKW

Dining: Olivia's Cafe is the TS restaurant and Goods to Go is the CS. Both are open till 10pm to the best of my knowledge.

Have a great trip! We'll be at OKW for the first time Nov 30th

Here is the map generated by Gary with all the areas marked.

Be advised that the near HH area does NOT have the additional door to the bathroom through the laundry room. This is only an issue if you have people staying in the living room needing to use the facilities.

Thank you both. Does Olivia's require reservations? Also, I think I heard that there is a boat that goes from OKW to Downtown Disney - if so, how late does that run?

Thanks again!!

We have never needed reservations at OKW, but there are times that it can get crowded. The boat to SSR/DTD runs every half hour from around noon( might be 11 AM) until about 11:30 PM. I might be wrong on that last part. It might be different for different seasons. Also, be aware that there is an internal bus that also runs to DTD as well. On top of that there is a walkway from behind building 55 that goes to DTD and SSR. YOu can make that walk in 15 minutes or so, but don't attempt it at night, because the path is not lighted.

Great info - again, thanks!! The bathroom door situation is interesting as well, as my kids will be in the living room, but for 1 night, it is no big deal.
