We are flying in next Thursday and decided to squeeze in a park day at Epcot. We are only going to be at the parks 1/2 day Thursday and MK on Friday. Because Sat. we are going on the Magic!

We fly in Thursday around 11:00. We are meeting up with a DIS'er at the airport. We will rent a car and then drive to an onsite resort and check in. THEN take Disney transportation to Epcot. What is your best guess as to what time we will actually be in Epcot?

Ok, then Where is Soarin' located? By then do you think all fast passes will be gone?

That night there is the EMH. I think Soarin' is there, should we wait and do it then?

What are some other good tips about EMH in the evening at Epcot?

You'll probably get into the park sometime between 1-2:pm. Soarin' is located in The Land Pavilion. As you enter the park, go past Spaceship Earth and walk down to the big fountain in the middle, turn right, go straight.

FP's will probably be gone by then. Yes Soarin' is part of EMH. If the line is too long when you get there, ride it during EMH.

Here's a list of attractions that are open at Epcot during EMH evenings:
Living with the Land
Mission: SPACE
Soarin'
Spaceship Earth
Test Track
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
Journey Into Imagination With Figment
Mexico-El Río del Tiempo
Norway-Maelstrom
America-The American Adventure

Have fun!

Thanks for the info...

How long is the EMH at Epcot, and can you do all of the open attractions during that time?

We usually take the Magical Express from the airport... My guess would be that by 1pm you should be at your resort.

On an EMH night, I would do the rides that have the longest wait time late late at night (depending if you stay late or not!).

I would make some ADR for a great restaurant in Epcot. (you're not on the dining plan I suppose? so worth it...).

I love Epcot... I learned to love Epcot. It's becoming my favorite park.

3 hours (9:00pm - midnight).
Yes. Well... if you're smart about it ;)

I would wait until EMH to do Soarin'. Also, try to catch Illuminations; it's one of my two favorite nighttime attractions.

If you've got kids, may sure they see the "sparkles" in the walkway through future world at night. There are actually lights in the concrete that flash and sparkle. One trip we had a 4-year-old who got a kick out of it.

I'm not sure where exactly in Epcot to get the wristbands. They're usually out in the open somewhere, though, and marked by signs.

ADR stands for Advance Dining Reservations (or something very close). It's basically what used to be Priority Seating, kind of like a fastpass for a restaraunt, but you have to call to make the arrangements beforehand (407-WDW-DINE).

There will be several place set up about an hour prior to park closing for you to get your id band. Also ADR is Advanced Dining Reservations :sunny:

What does ADR stand for?

Wristbands:
Future World
-Main Entrance
-Future World East Breezeway
-Future World West Breezeway
World Showcase
-Mexico Bridge
-International Gateway

ADR = Advance Dining Reservation

If you attempt to do Soarin' during EMH be prepared, everyone else is trying to do it as well. When we were down the beginning of March we gave up as we couldn't ever walk into the Land Pavillion it was so busy to get into Soarin' and the wait was close to 90 minutes. We went and did a few other rides instead, like Test Track and Mission Space.

We didn't do Soarin' on a EMH night, but we did it after IllumiNations (or close to the end. We skipped it as we've seen it before). We got there right before the park closed and there weren't very many people there at all. We rode it twice in a row, and we rode the second to the last ride for the night. The second time we rode it we didn't even have to get off.
