Need help from all you math wizards!

Okay, so my family was supposed to go with my sister in law and her family to the Outer Banks in April, but when the 4/3 deal came out I couldn't resist! I've been trying to talk her into going to Disney for quite some time, and was hoping if someone can help me figure out a number. I went to the Disney site to see if anything was available at a Value resort. It's my sister in law, her husband, 12 year old daughter and 6 year old daughter. I put in 7 nights from 4/11-4/18. 8 days of tickets without the park hopper or water park option to make it cheaper, and the regular dining plan. The total price was $2935.90 for Pop Century. Can anyone figure out how much would come off that price for the 3 nights free and 3 days of tickets free? I want to entice her with this offer....thank you so much in advance!!

If you price this out with the 4/3 deal, it comes out to be $2394.81 for the same dates, tickets and meal plan.

To know exactly how much the buy 4/get 3 promo deal is, you would need to go to www.disneyworld.com, click on Tickets & Reservations and then Special Offers. There, you should see the promo. Then, just follow through until the end of the trip is priced out.

I am pretty sure that the dates you mentioned are black out dates for the deal. We were thinking of heading down then but were told the 4/3 deal wasn't available then.

They are listed as blackout dates, however a lot of people were still getting the deal for that week, myself included! When I priced the vacation on Disney's site, the total cost of my trip was $3769.28. I'm winding up paying $2968.42 for a total savings of $800.86. I went through Kingdom Magic Vacations. Give them a call...

I should have said this when I posted, but I did the 4/3 thing on the Disney web site for those dates just before I posted the amount - it does come up as being available, or at least it did at the time I searched for the resort mentioned! I chose POP as the resort, BTW, as indicated by the OP.

Hope this helps, and for those of you that mentioned blackout dates, there was nothing to indicate that when I pulled up the rates.

Definitely try online. For giggles a while ago I did for our Easter vacation and it is available during that blackout time. I didn't book online because I needed two rooms, and when I called they said it was blacked out. I told her it was available online, and could she give it a try. She did, and it went through. Good luck. I just checked 4/11-4/19/09 and just about everything was available with the discount that I checked, all except Grand Floridian and a few of the DVC properties.

Okay, so I took all of your information and used the Special Offers page on the www.disneyworld.com website. The discounted package comes to $2,396.81 with dining and $1,478.09 without dining.

Now, I have gone back to the www.disneyworld.com website and put in the information WITHOUT using the Special Offers page. The exact same vacation would be $2,019.28 without dining and $2,935.90 with dining.

So, by booking with the Special Offers page, you would be saving approximately $540.00!

I did this on my own without using a travel agent. You can get the discount without using a travel agent by simply using the Special Offers page.

Savings are:

3 days of hotel at rack rate - around $100 per night for a value
3 days of tickets - around $20 a person

There are no savings on the dining plan. You are paying the full 7 days for it.

The biggest downfall for her is that she doesn't want to pay for airfare because it's so expensive that week, but it's too long of a drive for her. I still hope to talk her into it!

YES! If you don't use the special offers page, you will get the "regular rate" quote.

I have a brother in law who refuses to drive to WDW with his two kids and wife. The only way he will go is if they can fly. But, after the cost of airfare for four people, he could have stayed at Disney a couple of extra days.

We have driven it for eleven years now and made our first trip when our kids were just 1 and 11. The drive from our home to WDW ranges from 14 to 16 hours depending on the weather and traffic. I guess it all depends on your mentality.

We're trying to talk him and his family into going with us next May but I don't know if he's going to do it or not.
