We need a clean, cheap hotel by WDW for one night. We are a family of 5 and would like a pool. We will be going into Disney the next day so we will not be spending much time at the hotel. Does anyone have any reccomendations- the most important thing is clean and safe. Thank you for any help.

We got a room at the La Quinta Lakeside which I've heard many nice things about. I sent away for the Orlando Magicard and got a room for $45. Other people have been bidding on Priceline and got this hotel for $20-25. (Personally, I've never used Priceline - I like knowing exactly which hotel I'm getting before paying).

First, I'd try to get an All Stars or Pop Century. Most of the time, if you can get any kind of discount at all ( AAA or Fla Resident or Annual passholder), you can get them less expensive than some of what you would think were cheaper options.

That said, If you are determined to stay off site one night I'd look into the new Holiday Inn Express at Summer bay, Holiday Inn Family Suites ( not cheap) or Comfort Suites Main Gate East still more expensive than a room at the all stars or pop!.

Days Inn at Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista is onsale at expedia.com. Its on sale for $40 a night. Make sure the day of travel that the date is available via expedia.com, then go to Days Inn.com. They will most likely have a higher price. Book that higher price ONLINE (this only works if you book online). Immediately submit the form for their best rate guarantee. They only ask a few questions like your name, confirmation #, what site had the better rate, ect. It takes only a few minutes. Days Inn will give you expedia.com's rate less 10% ($36 a night). They will contact you within 24 hours. Easy and right next to DTD, with a pool. Here are some pictures at this Days Inn. It has a virtual tour too. Each room comes with 2 double beds and a sofa sleeper!!

I tried the Days Inn but my date of June 5 does not come up with days available on the expedia site but does give me a rate of $52.00 on the Days Inn site. I would really like to try to stay around $40 because we will be staying at the POR in Disney for the next 5 days. Any other suggestions or help? The Rodeway inn came up at a cheap rate on Expedia but I have never heard of it.

Thanks for any other help.

On Hotelkingcom.com, I saw several in the 40-50 range.

Are you flying or driving? They have a new (acc to HK) Comfort Suites 1 mi from the airport for 43.88 plus tax.

There's a Comfort Inn Universal on Sand Lake Road for 46.13.

The Days Inn you mentioned is showing at 43.00.

There's an Econolodge on 192 for 34.88.

HoJo Enchanted Land is 44.00 for a standard room.

Microtel on Canada Ave near Universal is 39.50.

Quality Inn Maingate West is 37.00.

I'd stay away from Rodeway. I've herd it referred to as the Roachway! Also, the one listed on HK says they charge a $2 resort fee per night. Rodeway Resort??? Please!!!!
:teeth:

Try travelocity.com they have a Days Inn on I-Drive for $38 for your dates.

hotelkingdom.com has several for your time $40 and under. Here are several that I'd take a 1 night chance on.

Econo Lodge for $34.88 - 5335 Irlo Bronson Highway, Orlando (Kissimmee), FL, 34746. Just undergone a Million Dollar renovation - looks nice - I'd take a 1 night chance.

Howard Johnson Disney Orlando (Kissimmee) - Orlando (Kissimmee) Hotels 4985 West Irlo Bronson Hwy, Orlando (Kissimmee), FL, 34746 - $44-46 (depending on if you want a kids theme room. )

Ramada Inn Westgate Orlando (Kissimmee) - Orlando (Kissimmee) Hotels 9200 West U. S. Hwy 192, Orlando (Kissimmee), FL, 34711 (37 or 42) depending on if you get a standard or poolside. http://www.hotelkingdom.com/hotelinfo/info.asp?hotel_id=825

Go to Travelzoo.com
Comfort Inn by Universal has a sale for $39.00 per night, until June 30th. It says free breakfast and transportation to Disney.
I haven't stayed there, but you might want to check out this offer.

Looking for you a better rate I found a better one for myself (beter than my $36 for Days Inn Lake Buena Vista).

Go to: www.easyclicktravel.com. For your dates I found Days Inn Maingate to Universal for $29, Econolodge Maingate Resort (the one I gave you earlier) is $29 on this site, Howard Johnson Maingate East $29, Howard Johnson Express Inn Parkside $30, La Quinta Inn Lakeside $32, Days Inn Maingate West $32, Days Inn Lake Buena Vista (the one that is basicly in Downtown Disney) $38, Best Western Plaza International Drive $39 - Suite $49, Clarion Maingate $39, Orlando Worldgate $39, Days Suites Old Town for $49 and many, many, many, many, many more.

Keep in mind that ALL major hotel chains have best rate guarantees when you book directly with them online and submit a better rate all online. Most having at a 10% lower price to book directly with the hotel chain. And you don't have to pay immediately with major chains.

I found these too....

Comfort Inn Universal Studios is offering a $39 special for stays through June 30. This saves you 50% OFF standard rates if you book by April 28.

I went to the days inn site and couldn't find where I would say I saw a better rate online. Is it after you make your reservation? Have you stayed at the Days Inn Lake Bunea Vista one? Have you stayed at any of the other ones on the clicktotravel site that were in the 30 - 40 range?

Thank you for all of your help with this- the rates are amazing on the site.

Go to daysinn.com homepage and click on the Guaranteed Best Available Rate button them click on the claim form. You have to do it within 24 hours of your reservations. You have to book it online and make the claim online.
